Stayed here yesterday . Was pleased to see a team that take social distancing serious - hand sanitizers at every door/entrance -tables in restaurant spaced out well. Staff checked me in quickly -room clean. Staff v friendly and efficient. Mattresses prob could do with upgrading

I came to the Banville for the Country Music night on 30 July. A great night was had. We checked in at 5 and booked ourselves in for dinner at 5pm. Food was top tier stuff. Would definitely recommend. When we booked in we were told the booking was for an upstairs room (I'm disabled) so they checked the availability of the rooms on the ground floor. It was a relief that there was a room available as they have no lift (elevator). So we were offered it at no extra charge. The room was massive. Turned out to be one of the family rooms. 3 single beds and a double at the top if the room beside the en suite wash room. I cant rate the service highly enough. Wish we could have stayed longer if im honest. If the staff are reading this, thank you for all your help and top class customer service

Just back from another great weekend in the Bannville. Emma, and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly as usual. Lovely food and reasonably priced too, this was their first weekend open after the Covid lockdown and everything was well organised with social distancing etc; No music allowed back in the bar here yet unfortunately, but we will be back again in the not too distant future and hopefully things will be a bit more normal then, highly recommended.

I booked a room but never slept here, thank Christ!
I had booked a room as I was working in the area and finished work quite late that evening (8pm)
I phoned ahead explaining I was on the way and asked if food was being served. Was told the kitchen closes at 19:45 (date the place was last refurbished I reckon)
Anyway that was fine I grabbed a pizza closeby and brought it back with me.
When I arrived, I was checked in and handed a key (an actual key 🤣) and wasn’t directed to the location of the room until I asked.
Here’s the best part. I arrived at the room and unlocked the door and went inside. When I switched on the light I found the room was scattered with drinks glasses and someone’s luggage around the place😳.
I returned to reception where there were now 2 ladies whom asked “ eh was there someone’s stuff in there” so odd like they had expected me to say yes which I did.
They apologised and then asked me to sit in the bar while they sorted the mess.
10 mins later a man approached me and said “ that room is clean now” and left followed by one of the ladies from reception who left the key for the same room on the table next to me and offered complimentary breakfast for the mix up.
I was a bit confused by the whole ordeal as I couldn’t understand how they could: remove the current guest and their luggage ( to where?) and then clean the room, change the bedding/towels and give me the key in ~10mins so I asked at the reception who was now manned by the guy that was behind the bar previously. He couldn’t really explain and mentioned something to do with Booking.com and I left more confused than before.
I headed back to the same room but decided to leave the hotel altogether after inspection as there was manky stains and glitter on the headboard and pillow, the room was NOT clean to a hotel room standard and smelt like someone had sprayed an entire can of air freshener in there.
This place really is stuck in the 1900’s and in my opinion should be closed until renovated ! Clearly not reinvesting a penny into the Kip
I managed to get another hotel at 11pm which was an actual hotel for a better price 🫣
I would advise to avoid this place at all costs !!!

Booked a reservation for 7pm, turned up and a member of staff told us to take a seat for a few minutes while the table is getting ready.
20 minutes later we had to ask another staff member if our table was ready yet and have to say she was pleasant and apologetic about the wait. We ordered from the date night menu which states you get "Two Mains, Two Sides and Two Drinks for £30".
Girlfriend and I both ordered mains which state that they are both "served with" chips along with 2 sides (we ordered garlic bread and onion rings). Mains arrived with no chips so we asked for some.
By the time they arrived we had both finished our mains. We then enquired why we had not received these in the first place to be told that the chips which are clearly stated as being "served with" the main dish were actually counted as side orders and we would be charged extra for these.
The menu clearly needs reworded better or explained when ordering as was agreed by the member of staff who took our payment.
Food was ok nothing special.
Very disappointing evening.

Stayed at this dire complex recently as I was working in the area. Walked in to the reception to be greeted by a girl with long dark hair who has got to be the most ignorant nastiest cow. After checking in and going up to my room, I then decided to go down to the restaurant for dinner only to be told by the same cow there was no room and I'd have to wait until a table became available. After sitting for a few minutes a blonde haired lady came along and asked me did I want a menu and she got me a menu and took me straight to my table despite the black haired girl telling me there was no room. I would visit again only for that girls attitude towards customers and guests.

Regular visitors to the Bannville and certainly would say that the staff are great . And full praise for continuing with your take away carvery which I’m sure benefits so many people who for one reason or another cannot sit in at the premises.
But - carvery is slipping - less choice and meat portions are def decreasing ( very small slices - must be cutting from smaller cuts of meat ? )

We went here for an outdoor concert which was very good, we arrived early and got parked up.
As we were parked for the concert we decided to try the hotel for a meal ( I had previously booked a table but then cancelled because of other plans), the hotel was fully booked but Emma who was on reception went the extra mile and sorted us out with a table, Emma explained very politely that she had other guests arriving in just over an hour for the table and that suited us fine..we got the roast of the day and I got to say that the foot was absolutely beautiful.
The hotel was reasonably busy and after the outdoor concert had a young lady singing in the bar which was a good experience, all in all we enjoyed our time at the bannville house hotel and this was all down to the lovely staff, in particular Emma who went above her duties to help .
Thank you Emma and the staff at the Bannville house hotel, we will be back .

I was very impressed by the beautiful afternoon tea we had in the bundle hotel. I took my grandmother for her birthday as a nice treat and we were thoroughly spoilt such a beautiful arrangement of sandwiches, buns and scones with jam and clotted cream and tea or coffee as much as you wanted.
I was really impressed by this and will definitely be back.
The staff were also extremely helpful and extremely patient for us as I am visually impaired and find a little difficult getting to the table and a little longer getting to the table. However they were very very good indeed I will definitely be back here.

I really wanted to like this place but left very disappointed after a 3 night stay. My "executive suite" was a LONG way from being anything of the sort! Uncomfortable bed (2 singles pushed together does NOT make a King!) small tv badly fitted to wall, very basic coffee facilities, very little decoration in room, no "Do not disturb" signs but as there was no handle on the outside of the door, there wasn't anywhere to hang it anyway! No phone in room to contact reception. Bathroom was water damaged due to shower curtain on straight pole not being very effective. Shower head was fixed which I hate. Towels thin and far too small. Spiders in the room too! Food in bar / restaurant was mostly good but service quite poor. Cutlery was very cheap and very tired and the WI-FI didn't work for the entire duration of my stay. For the price paid, I expected a lot better.
