This was our first time taking the dogs away for a hotel stay. We have a 5 month old puppy as well as another dog and were a bit apprehensive about taking them before we went. We did not have anything to worry about and the dogs were welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is brilliantly set up with the dog friendly rooms out of the way of the other rooms. The dogs were allowed for dinner and breakfast in the dog friendly area. It really was like a home from home! Dogs can make use of the carpark and there’s a short walk across the road from the hotel around the golf course for mornings and nights. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve already booked our return stay.
Excellent customer experience with very attentive staff. The food was adequate but nothing special in surroundings which appear a little tired. In short it’s good but slightly overpriced pub grub. I would call again but only if I was passing.
Could I just say what another wonderful stay at inn on the coast. As soon as we arrived we were upgraded to a wonderful suite which was beautiful. Once again it was spotless and we received a very warm welcome and the food was fantastic. I could not praise them enough for their exceptional service during these difficult times. Will definitely be back and would everyone to visit.
My wife, daughter, dog and I recently had a 2 day break in the Inn on the Coast and were very pleasantly surprised, both with the hotel and staff and with the local area. We live in Belfast and usually head to Donegal or further afield for a short break so didn't really appreciate what there is to offer closer to home. Our main reason for booking this hotel is that it is pet friendly and it most certainly was - there are plenty of areas in the hotel where dogs are welcome and this is done in a way that doesn't inconvenience other guests. The bar/restaurant has a separate pet friendly area with its own entrance but it is no less attractive or comfortable than the part for other guests. We were able to bring our dog with us to breakfast and dinner and drinks in the bar - water bowls are provided for all the dogs. The bedroom was large and comfortable and a welcome pack of dog treats was provided. Food in the hotel was great both at breakfast and at dinner with plenty of choice. The hotel staff without exception couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. The hotel location is ideal, midway between Portrush and Portstewart and close to a coastal walk. There are plenty of attractions in the local area - highlights for us were Portstewart Strand and Mussenden Temple. We will definitely be returning to the Inn on the Coast as soon as we can.…
Great staycation, rooms spotless, staff friendly, great breakfast, good food, good raspberry mojito. Will definitely be back again, great atmosphere. Good base for sight seeing. Would highly recommend this hotel
