Checked in and all fine, evening meal, fine until we were advised the bar closed at 9.30pm. Breakfast was a disgrace. The trolley service was basically leftovers from other tables and the scrambled eggs we were offered had been cooked for hours. No offer of an alternative except the dried out pastries in the trolley. Our empties from the night before were left in the room all day. Needless to say we’ve cancelled our evening meal for this evening! For the price of £150 per night there’s better service in the area. I’m sorry about this as I’ve been a returning customer for 12 yrs. Spoke to receptionist this morning to state my concerns and although she said she would raise the issues with “management” so far there had been no response from them. Hence this review.
This weekend was another great stay for us at the Adelphi hotel Portrush. We felt so relaxed and the staff were so friendly. The food in the bistro was top notch and the room was deserving of their 4 Stars. The breakfast choices cover all tastes and are delicious. Well done everyone!
Food absolutely excellent. Very reasonable, good choices, high standard of food, generous portions! Good service from the young staff. Are here twice during our week in Portrush as it was so good the first time. Sunday beef lunch dad said was the best beef he ever had! And a bargain. Enjoyed everything else too. Lovely
Very central location. Very friendly staff - everyone very obliging and happy to help. Beautiful room overlooking the Main Street - 3 adults (mother and 2 daughters). We made use of the Health Suite for a few hours on arrival, beautiful jacuzzi, sauna room and steam room. There was a bottle of water per person provided in the room which was a nice gesture. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.
Had a great stay at the Adelphi - spacious room, comfortable beds, good shower. The food was excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful. Only one (minor) fault - breakast wasn't served til 9a.m. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
This was an unexpectedly good find! we were a group of 5 girls having a weekend away and booked two triple rooms. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, right on main street. The staff were lovely, reception, waiting staff, bar service and even the night porter when we lost our key. The rooms were very large and full of character. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, ample space for us all to gather in one room and chill out. Nice and warm too. The health suite with hot-tub, jacuzzi and steam room was great for relaxing in for an hour before heading out. we also had a massage in the spa upstairs (just one room with one therapist) but it was one of the nicest Swedish massages I've had in a long time. Good choice and quality of food for breakfast too. The evening meal in the bistro was a little underwhelming though, with not exactly an inspiring menu, however the waitress was brilliant...chatty, friendly, smiley! We will definitely be revisiting this little gem of a hotel…
Very welcoming staff left a lovely card and bottle of wine for my 60th birthday. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all lovely.Spa was lovely .Very enjoyable stay loking forward to returning.
This is a hidden gem in Portrush stayed 2 nights in a king room booking in was pleasant and informative, the room was spotless and quite large, breakfast was great and in covid times a trolly was brought to your table to choose your cold start to your breakfast, a full fry ordered and was delicious, the staff pleasant and attentive, we used hot tub and sauna (booking required) had it to ourselves it was great, clean extremely well presented, worth a visit to relax dinner was lovley, hot tasty food and again the staff are great. I haver stayed here before but I certainly will book again.
The Adelphi has everything that my wife and I needed for a relaxing weekend away for her birthday. Nothing is too much for all the staff. The health suite is also a must when staying. We also have dinner in the restaurant every time we are guests and have got to say it’s top notch cuisine
Very clean and well furnished. Receptionists very pleasant and welcoming and Bistro staff looked after us well. But BEWARE there are some noisy rooms. Our room had a large fan driven machine below the window and it droned on , noisily and incessantly 24/7. I found it impossible to sleep. When the issue was passed to reception, management never spoke to me, apologised or sorted out the problem. They were noticeable by their absence. Consequently I had another sleepless night and instead of a relaxing break I had to go home for a rest.
