My wife and I stopped off here today for my birthday as we had driven by it many times over the years. It was my birthday so we went in for lunch the staff didn’t know that but we were placed at a table with what I can only describe as one of the best views I have seen from a hotel on the north coast. The staff were both excellent and pleasant the surroundings and comfort were excellent clean and comfortable to. Can I just say your staff, your excellent menu and food made our day we had the carvery which was superb this was a day out to look back on with fond memories. The head of staff was excellent and we hope to visit again you are so lucky to work with a view that is ever changing each day. Many thanks to these staff and it’s so nice to see that service and care in this present day. We will return again very soon. Thanks again…
My husband and I had the absolutely joy of having our wedding here on 27th August this year and genuinely I cannot say enough about this hotel, food and staff. The view is absolutely stunning which was the main reason we initially booked it as a venue however the food on the day was top notch, the first wedding I have been too where there is more than enough food and where guests where offered extra. From the drinks reception in the gorgeous reception to the live singer we had in the bar nothing was too much a hassle for anyone. I cannot say enough about Barry and his staff, they went above and beyond and we have so much to thank them for, for ensuring our day went as smooth as ever. Cannot reccomend enough.
Food was just okay… not very well presented. Bar staff needs to become abit more friendlier, one particular girl Chloe was the best there was, so extremely friendly. Few older men in the bar had no personalities, bothered them to even smile. Not worth the money. Paying for the view.
So myself a my new wife got married on Saturday 3rd of September in the Royal Court and words cannot describe how excellent this venue is , from the lovely accommodating staff and beautiful surroundings to the amazing food that everyone raved about , we cannot recommend this venue enough and especially Barry our wedding co-ordinator who went above and beyond for us from start to finish
Went for the carvery this evening very poor. Was not asked until I was at the pay station, told the gentleman the meal was very poor, and he said I'm sorry it wasn't to your liking, that's £32 pounds, please. burnt beef tough pork and cabbage with peppers ughh
Our tour group stopped here for lunch. We were in a large dining room with a great view overlooking the beach. The food which was sliced meat, potatoes, and veggies was very tasty. The staff was helpful and generous with the portions. Afterward walking around the grounds was a great sight.
Rooms need refurb. Bathroom in need of repair. Hole in the bathroom door and 2 holes on side of bath. Black mould on tiles. Ronnie was great help. Views excellent. For the location of the hotel it could do better.
From start to finish this was a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful, our rooms, 105 and 106, were modern, nicely decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. These rooms overlook the carpark and countryside rather than the coast. Dinner was very good even though the place was packed on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was standard fayre though it was good to get potato and soda bread rather than hash browns. Would recommend.
Booked for our wedding anniversary had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the sea. This hotel has a stunning location and views. Food was excellent staff were friendly. Room was very clean only problem small double bed but not a good mattress room 102.
Booked a Sunday carvery the day before. When we arrived we were quickly shown to our table. Order taken for starter and dessert at the same time. The carvery was a standard carvery - turkey, ham, beef, pork and a pie option. Beware little ones as the plates are extremely hot. An elderly woman behind me was keen to get moving along to keep her food warm but I pointed out it was unlikely to get cold on such hot plates. (Some people need to learn patience). Limited veg choice consisted of carrot/parsnip mix, green cabbage, mushrooms in a sauce. Potatoes were mashed, roast which were good,or boiled in a creamy garlic sauce which I mistook for cheese sauce (can't stand garlic so gave them away). Perhaps I should've asked the one member of staff serving the meat before putting them on my plate. Turkey and beef were good but the ham was rubbery in texture. Pudding choice was very good. Lemon cheesecake lacked any real flavour. Pavlova was enjoyed. Bannofie portion was a little small. Overall for £26 a head I expected more so would rate this as an average carvery experience. Restaurant was very busy and very warm.…
