I think the key asset of this hotel is the staff who were all v friendly and keen to ensure we had a nice time. Thank you v much. I even managed to leave my phone behind at checkout and hotel staff helped get it back to me in record time. Ty.
Stayed at this hotel last week end. The check at 4.00pm was painless and we were given our room on the first floor. The lift was near our room. The room was very spacious with TV on the wall and Radio on the beside table. The both nights that we had stayed the food was excellent and plentiful. Our waiter was Matthew in the bar. A young student who well mannered and knowledgeable. He was also very attentive to us. Checking to see that if our drinks needed replenished. In the mornings at breakfast our server was Marshall again well mannered and attentive to our needs. All the staff seemed to be students. I would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet weekend with no hassle and good service by all. The hotel is a short walk to all the amenities in Portrush and a short drive to either Portstewart or Colraine…
Awful customer service…don’t even bother wasting your time here. Not happy at all so best to keep looking rather than book here. Staff didn’t seem bothered, not the type of service you expect from a hotel.
Arrived late on first night. The room was very cold no heating on -2 outside. Went straight to bed it did slightly help a heater would have taken to long to warm room. Only bit of heat was the towel rail. The second night was better. Guess radiator switched off when not in use. Room was sufficient and breakfast good. Eat on the second night in hotel was very good. Just the cold room let it down.
Restaurant- Re-Heated Chips on meal, mushy peas rock hard. Restaurant/Bar - I had 1 pint of Guinness which wasn't great, thought l'd try again but they had run out. Early Saturday evening, bad form. We thought we'd try go into the town, as Hotel had run out of Guinness, that whilst no fault of the hotel was not to be, we could get a taxi company to bring us into Portrush but none would take us back. So an early night it was. I was in quite a bit of pain on my back as a result of the bed. Breakfast - bacon was like cardboard, did not enjoy.
Never again, was greater by pleasant staff but once we got to the room I was less than happy. Don't get me wrong, we got a deal but I wouldn't stay in that room. We were transferred to a superior room which was no cleaner but better than the last. Stayed the night and went down for breakfast, the function room transformed into a breakfast room, kids serving food and it was awful, tinned mushrooms and tasteless everything else Never again guys
We stayed in the Magherabuoy House Hotel for a weekend in September. We had a great room with a lovely view. Breakfast both mornings was very good. We ate in the restaurant the first night and it was so good we cancelled a booking we had with another restaurant and booked in again for the second night. Great food and reasonable prices. Staff are all friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again soon.
Yesterday evening we had a meal in the hotel, it was really really busy, we had a table for 3 booked at 6:30pm. We arrived at 6pm and were able to get our table early but advised that there would be a wait as the kitchen was extremely busy. staff were very polite, neat and tidy, William and Natasha were very visible and everything seemed very well organised. Never even noticed the wait for the food and most importantly it was delicious. It looked like every other customer enjoyed their food and the atmosphere was really good. 1 had the steak and chicken, it came cooked perfectly- medium, another had the chicken goujons and she never gave over about how good they were. I had the lasagne, massive portion but delicious.
Stayed recently for two nights. After reading some negative reviews I was really pleased with our room. I'm not sure what some people expect for the price paid. We were on the first floor room 217. We overlooked the garden area. The room was spacious and clean. Yes a bit dated here and there but clean and comfortable. Beds could probably use new mattresses soon but they were fine. Brekafast was lovely. The staff while young were all very professional and friendly. The location was excellent. It was nice being so close to the centre of portrush whilst being set a mile back from the buzz of it all. We will definitely stay again.
Had a family meal last night. 4 adults and a child. Food was outstanding. All freshly cooked and on the table very quickly. Also very reasonably priced. Lovely ambience and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend. Mixed grill was outstanding. Lasagne was amazing and you would have thought you were in an Italian restaurant. Portions sizes were huge. Will definitely be back.
