The room was quite worn and need of a major renovations. I was not comfortable. There were awful black stains on the chairs ands carpets. The bed was terrible. The toilet paper dispenser kept breaking. I would not suggest staying there.
Stayed with my family in the hotel for one night. Great location, located in Portrush Town within easy walking distance to Barry's, the beach, pubs and restaurants. However, I asked for a travel cot for my toddler and they said they would put one in the room but arrived in the room and no travel cot. Also, the rooms need a bit of tlc, particularly the bathroom. On a plus, the staff were very nice and the breakfast was lovely. The chef was so friendly and food very tasty. Breakfast area was lovely. The rooms just need some love!!
Called ahead the day before to book us in for lunch today, knowing how busy this spot usually is as we visit every year Shocked to see restaurant empty upon arrival at 1pm whilst all the regular food haunts were packed out. Food was horrendous, steak overcooked, chips resembled microwave chips, peppercorn sauce was like water, absolutely the worst we’ve had. Very disappointing as we always found the food top class here. I mentioned on paying that I was very disappointed and asked had the chef team changed or had the restaurant changed but the girl advised this wasn’t the case and apologised for us not enjoying the food. I think the fact this normally busy restaurant was empty on a very busy day should have rang alarm bells for us I can’t recommend enough that this restaurant should be avoided, I wasted £85 there today.…
Met up with family here 25/3/22 evening for a meal. The food was less than 1* but you don't have a negative *. Brie bites only three and tasteless. Pasta dishes were probably Lidl (less good range) with a sauce with no flavour and the chicken dishes were bland and cold. The bill!!! over £100 for 2 courses and a couple of drink each for food which cost less than a £5 from even the best shops. I hate giving bad reviews but this was the worst food I;'ve had since I accidently ate the dogs dinner. It should have been obvious to us when we realised we were (apart from one other family) the only people eating here. Good news - ONE staff member was quite good albeit he had a broken arm - the others were less than incompetent and often had to be asked to provide service.
This hotel is well located centrally in the town within walking distance of the coastal paths and many restaurants. My room was large with a comfy bed. Tea and coffee and biscuits were provided. The shower was powerful and nice toiletries. We paid extra for the sea view which is spectacular. The deal was still amazing value. We didn't eat here but the dining room overlooks the amazing view. Only downside was we had to wait until 4pm to check in.
