They do great sandwiches in the bar of The Cawdor in Llandeilo: roast beef with horse radish, or local ham with mustard are delicious. They are not delicate, but this is farming country after all, sitting high above the delightful Towy valley. After visiting the shops in the small town, whose attraction is their old fashioned individuality and absence of...

Booked an overnight stay at the Cawdor as my husband and I have many happy memories of days spent in Llandeilo in the past. The Hotel is on the main street in Llandeilo and has a secure car park - but be warned if you have mobility problems ithecar park has steps to get back to the hotel which are...

Visited for our anniversary. Greeted warmly by lovely receptionist who personally showed us to our room. Lovely old Coaching Inn tastefully decorated. Drinks were more than reasonably priced. Our evening meal was delicious, as was breakfast. A very enjoyable stay overall.

Character hotel, friendly staff and really good food. Our room had a four poster bed (which was really comfortable) and a very modern stylish bathroom. The staff were excellent, and the food, good choice and beautifully presented. Free Car Park at the rear of the hotel accessed by steps. The hotel is situated in the middle of Llandeilo which has...

Nothing wrong with this hotel but at the same time nothing really striking. Rooms are large, bed and pillows really soft so loved it. Towels fluffy and soft so no expense spared there. The hotel is a listed building so you have to accept that not all is modern although the bathroom certainly is, just let down by low water...

Well here is a frank honest review on a couple late forties enjoying Llandeilo for the night. From the first contact with the Cawdors, the lady helped me book what room was good for us, amazing she was! We arrived and parked outside, offered to take our luggage, but we decided to park at the rear (free, plenty of space),...

A pleasant experience, only problem was lack of a lift to the second floor, but building regulations would not permit. Otherwise a good place to spend a night in this fascinating area. Food and service excellent

Good, comfortable hotel room. Nicely furnished, clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the carpet on the stairs and hallway - very funky! Just a couple of things to be wary of, the car park is quite a way above the entrance which means a walk down two flights of quite steep steps. The breakfast was distinctly average,...

Called in for a bite to eat on a Sunday didn't fancy the Sunday roast though it looked very good. Instead opted for a roast beef sandwich and shared some chips. The sandwich was huge and well filled, had OSB beer a few times. We ate in the bar lounge area with big comfortable seats and plenty of room. Car...

We were lucky to be upgraded to a superb 2 bedroom suite. The service throughout was splendid and reception helped us so genuinely. Good choice of food and lots of room to spread out and relax. Plus right in the middle of town but with secure private parking.
