Visited on Sunday for a carvery and although I think the pub is a little outdated, the carvery was excellent! The meat was cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were the best i've had. We had a jam roly poly for dessert which was equally as good along with the service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I always enjoy our visits to this public house, great food, great friendly service, great selection of beers, fantastic views! What more could you ask for? Oh and good sized portions at excellent prices. We'll be back.

Really enjoyed the carvery, roast potatoes best I have ever had, lots of meat and veg. Roast beef was good quality and cooked to perfection. All steaming hot. On holiday but wish I lived close enough to visit again. Would recommend you visit.

Went yesterday with my wife been many times before but the standard and service are amazing. Yesterday's choice was Beef and or pork and both just melted in the mouth. The veg was just right as was the boiled new potatoes and roasts. Good pint on offer too. If you never have another carvery , give this one a try,...

HOWEVER what is fantastic about this place and keeps us coming back is the food - such imagination ,so...

I stayed here overnight this weekend. The room was very clean and well Worth the money. The landlady was very helpful and welcoming. She couldn't have done enough for us. Loved our stay and will definitely be back. Can't comment on breakfast as I was too drunk to wake up and sample it! 😕

Sunday lunch with friends..Despite there being a focus on the carvery, there were plenty of imaginative vegetarian options. Staff all very busy as the restaurant was full, but still managed to be friendly, helpful and polite. The atmosphere was good and the mushroom stroganoff the best I have ever tasted. Full marks, Craven Heifer.
