The deal we had included dinner on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. Our room was lovely ,clean and spacious overlooking the canal and enjoyed our first night followed by a swim in the hotel pool and used the outdoor hot tub on the rooftop of the leisure complex before enjoying a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately our 2nd nights sleep was disturbed by very loud wedding guests returning to their rooms between 2 and 3 am and banging on doors and shouting. Dinner on the 2nd night in the Old Mill Restaurant was excellent with a good choice of food and a lovely bottle of wine. Breakfast on all 4 mornings was very good and dinner on our last night was excellent. The staff were very efficient and friendly and considering the restrictions in place regarding Covid did a good job of trying to accommodate everyone. Towards the end of our stay service started to become limited to hotel guests and anyone not staying at the hotel had limited access that made the hotel more quieter than normal but overall did not effect our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed recently for a few nights break. Reception staff were lovely during check in and check out. The leisure complex was fantastic and staff helpful and friendly. However we were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room -(bathroom) this clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival as the bath contained hairs and wet towels- not what you want during Covid. Following a phone call to reception house keeping did call and service the room and apologise. But this should not have happened....... Also staff in the granary bar frequently served us with their masks around their chins -one staff in particular. We were very disappointed with breakfast- it was the worst avocado, poached egg on sourdough bread I have ever tasted. The sourdough?? Wasn’t toasted, the avocado was runny and the eggs were stringy. Another day they got our breakfast orders wrong.

Hi. Visited here for 2 days. Leisure facilities were great ( sauna / pool etc). Staff were good apart from in the bar. Service was slow and member of staff with mask below neck while serving. Had to have bathroom cleaned again by staff as was clearly not done.

Ordered the poached eggs on smashed Avocado. I'm sorry but the eggs were pre cooked, Avocado was not fresh, ..even my sis in law had the same and she agreed. The breakfast menu has been downgraded. Where did the scrambled egg with Salmon go ??? Loved that .. But hey ho it will not put me off . Will I be back ? Off Course .
