For memorable holidays & romantic escapes, the Dandelion Hideaway’s hamlet of beautiful canvas cottages melts into acres of rolling Leicestershire countryside, with endless space for ambling, walks & discovery. Swap the daily rush for collecting freshly laid eggs, milking the dairy herd of goats and grooming Shetland ponies. Relax and spoil yourself, indulge in the peace, birdsong and starry nights. A delightfully memorable experience; truly luxurious glamping, with laidback rural days peeping into agricultural-farming life. We are the only glamping destination to have won the prestigious VisitEngland Excellence Award (self-catering) in 2014, 2015, 2016. In 2017, we achieved a milestone, winning the most prestigious honour from VisitEngland, winners of ‘Glamping Provider of the Year’, officially the best in England. The Trip Advisor story is the icing on the cake, achieving the Certificate of Excellence; 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017. In 2018 we qualified for the Hall of Fame!

We have just got home from a amazing weekend at The Dandelion Hideaway for my wife's 40th. The weather this weekend was far from great but this did not detract from our amazing stay. What makes this place special is all the amazing touches Polly and Will have made, with an honesty shop with all your essentials, a covered play area, a TV and arts room, pizza oven and communal seating areas, a hut will games and books and a outdoor games shed. Then there is the way they have dressed each unit with ornaments, pictures and choice of furniture that really makes it feel like a home. In terms of the tents as per my title this is a notable step up from your normal glamping, each of the 5 main tents has a open plan kitchen, lounge and dinning area, two bedrooms (double and twin and a secret house bed (which my 3 year old loved - could easily sleep bigger children) and a lovely bathroom with roll top bath. The units all have hot water and electric heaters and lights.

Hi Craig, Thank you so much for your glowing review. It was so lovely to meet you and your family. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. As you mentioned, the weather wasn’t great and I’m glad you were still able to celebrate Rachael’s birthday in style. Thank you again! We hope to welcome you back at The Dandelion Hideaway again soon. Best wishes The Oliver Family

We have just got home from a wonderful weekend at The Dandelion Hideaway. Was a bit nervous about glamping in April due to the cold but we all had such an amazing weekend. The accommodation is so tasteful- it is like being in a five star hotel inside a tent. The two bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and huge, warm duvets. The third double bed is in a cupboard with beautiful stars hanging from the ceiling which the kids were blown away by. The lounge and kitchen area was perfect and spacious and we were able to prepare meals with ease. The electric heaters and lights were a great addition and we all enjoyed lighting the fire and keeping it burning. Will and Polly had thought of everything that you could need which made the stay very relaxing and nothing was ever a hassle for them. The kids loved trying the hot tub, riding around on their bikes and playing in the game shack. They also loved feeding the animals and playing with the baby goats. Cannot think of any negatives at all. A perfect stay- thank you so much to Will and Polly! Already trying to organise a return stay.

We loved every bit of our stay, from the authentic accomodation in Bluebells, the hospitality of John And Sharon and meeting the goats and shetland ponies. It was a real get away from it all, relaxing and tranquil break. And at the same time the area offers plenty of beautiful walks and interesting places to visit. The Dandelion Hideaway was such a delight that we have already booked five of the cottages for next summer so that the whole family can enjoy the experience as well.

I absolutely adore staying here, we've been coming back for a number of years and John and Sharon are always the perfect hosts. We have stayed in a number of the tents and they are all beautiful. This week we stayed in Bluebells and loved the view, log burning stove, star gazing in the hot tub, peace and quiet to finish my book and chatting to the pheasents. Just go, you'll love it!!
