Stayed here with my wife as we had not been to Stratford-upon-Avon before. Had two nights in the Stratford Park Hotel and really enjoyed it. Special thanks go to the staff who made us feel very much at home. Thanks especially to Catlin, Amy, Beverly and Debbie. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very understated and good quality. The Superior rooms were great. Very comfortable beds, great showers and everything on hand. The hotel is in a very quiet location so a good night's sleep is assured. We will be going back. See you soon.
We were lucky enough to find this gem of a hotel after our normal “go to” chain hotelier badly disappointed us at Birmingham NEC cutting our pre booked 5 night stay to 1. We’re now enjoying our 4th night here, it’s just a 20-30 min drive from the NEC venue but oh so beautifully peaceful and scenic. We could have been stuck in an overpacked, over priced and uncomfortable bed, instead we’ve had a very comfortable room, enjoyed two lovely dinners - all home cooked with flair. There’s a relaxing bar area and good standard breakfast selection. All of these points are the making of a great stay, but the icing on the cake are the staff. Roxy has been on hand all breakfasts and dinner, lovely amiable lady. Housekeeping greeted us to our room, no requests have been a problem. We met Jason the last two nights, top chap and he makes excellent cocktails:-). Then there’s Ash, who greeted us on the phone before we even arrived. Ash looked after us over our two evening meals here, such a humorous happy guy, he made us feel so welcome and that was precious especially after such a disappointing sleepless and hard start to the week. We’ll definitely come back, thank you for looking after us and a truly lovely stay.…
We had a nice 2 nights away here. The hotel was recently refurbished. The room was lovely huge bed. Bath and overhead shower. Nice view outside. Staff were very attentive and friendly especially the Duty Manager and Carl who made us feel very welcome. Lovely breakfast included and again very pleasant staff who served us. Couldn't fault our stay will be staying again in the future.
Attended a wedding which was in the meadow barn, beautiful location, food excellent, Jason was very attentive and made sure we all had a good time. Dave (the rave) in the bar was absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for him, very friendly and just an all round great guy!
Booked 1 x double and 1 x twin as two teenage boys travelling with us. Hotel e-mailed initially confirming just one room booked. Hotel then e-mailed to query whether we wanted both doubles. E-mailed response but when we arrived the room was still being changed to a twin. Tap on sink in room lose and plug would not release dirty water. Too scared to raise this however due to other issues – see below. Sat in the bar until we had booked for dinner. Lovely lady at the bar. Very cold. The fire was not lit in the adjacent room. Restaurant was also cold. Log fire was not lit. Due to an error we ended up with an incorrect meal, but this was dealt with satisfactorily by the same lovely lady from the bar. Returned to bar but it was too cold to sit in. Although the fire was lit in the adjacent room it was still too cold to sit in. We had no alternative but to retire to our rooms. I raised this and was asked what I would like them to take off our bill to compensate for the cold. Was advised this would be picked up by another manager the following day. The other manager called me over after breakfast and I was treated as if I had refused to pay (which I had not). I was told that I had to pay in full and then e-mail the owners. Having read other reviews of how they have treated customers, I shall not be doing so. We packed up and left and shall not return.…
