We only stayed for one night as we were travelling on the next day. First impression of the outside told me it would be fabulous inside and it certainly didn't disappoint. We were made to feel welcome, shown to our room which was so spacious...More

This was our second visit to this hotel, based in, but run separately to, The Bell at Aston Clinton. The rooms are 'classic modern' and comfortable with large bathrooms. The bed, carpet, bathroom, etc. were all clean and the price very reasonable. However, this place...More

Staff were friendly, the room was clean and the food really tasty. We would happily stay again. Probably worth booking a table if you know you want to eat, as they were busy. A good location for visiting local National Trust places. Plenty of parking....More

I spent two nights here whilst my partner was working in the area. The room was absolutely huge with a separate lounge area and desk with a sofa. The bed was very comfortable, all fantastically clean. The staff were super friendly and we wouldn't hesitate...More

About
Description
Nestled at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, this unique lodge offers some of the most characterful accommodation in Aston Clinton. It's just off the M25, near to Aylesbury and Tring, making it ideal for short More breaks in Buckinghamshire or for business travel in the South East.Dating back to 1650, the beautifully restored old inn has clocked up an intriguing and glamorous history. It has played host to Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor and, given the village's links with Aston Martin, the odd iconic car launch.Guests today can still enjoy a touch of the VIP treatment - offered by the 11 stylishly decorated en-suite bedrooms, fresh, seasonal food and speciality drinks available. They'll discover the pub is full of period charm, cosy nooks and roaring log-fires, and there's an alfresco dining area perfect for soaking up the British summer.Walkers will find it's a great base for exploring the Chiltern Hills, while families can burn off some energy at treetop adventure park Go Ape, or let their imagination wander through the nearby Roald Dahl Children's Gallery. It's 4 miles from Aylesbury. I think it is best to travel by car to be able to visit places of interest in the area. Aston Clinton is quite a small village.
