We ate here on a couple of occasions and were very impressed with the food. Homemade and delicious, whether it was a main meal or sandwich. The burger was great value for money, beautifully cooked, well presented and tasted awesome. The tagliatelle was silky, delicious and stayed hot, which for tagliatelle is rare. The portions were also a good size...

If this place wasn't next to the devils bridge no one would visit. The food was a mix of ok and poor. We sat here and hot drinks before a Sunday dinner. The staff were less than helpful and obviously have no customer service training. My wife and daughter visited the ladies after the meal and couldn't wash their hands...

We arrived to the Hotel. Grabbed our million bags (baring in mind we were only staying 2 nights) we walked to the front door, opened up and walked in. As we walked in with our million bags a women that worked there walked past us and just gave us half a smile and walked into another room. We stood there...

After looking at this lovely hotel and then seeing it on 'wowcher' I just knew I had to book it. When we arrived we had to go to the bar to be booked in, here we were met by a lovely lady who showed us to our room. The room was very dated and was very cold as the wall...

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are superb, very friendly and helpful. Dogs are very welcome and our 2 staffys were allowed in both the bar and the restaurant. Parking was available outside the hotel. The evening meal selection is limited but the fish we had (with chips) was one of the best we have ever...

Booked 1 week in advance for the Valentines meal on Saturday the 11th as advertised. Was then contacted by them the day before to choose from the menu. However, the menu was not attached & not available on their website or Facebook. Requested menu still not sent. Turned up on the night to face utter confusion. Met in the Foyer...

Lovely location delicious food & friendly staff. Can really recommend this hotel for great food & a lively bar. We are in the dining room as the bat was packed. The dining room was quieter but lovely and warm on a cold Welsh nigh. After our superb meal we went into the bar for a couple of drinks everyone was...

Having received a £10 voucher to eat at the Hafod hotel we decided to go there for our regular Friday lunchtime meal out. Not a good idea. The building: the former tea rooms where lunch is currently being served is not the most inviting of places, lacking in atmosphere and having the air of an old-fashioned railway waiting room. The...

We have eaten here on a number of occasions absolutely first class food and service. Steak is amazing. Have booked in with a large group and couldn't fault the service at all. Great for families too no matter what the ages are, our girls love eating here. The fact that they allow dogs is fab too esp when out walking....

My friends and I (around 30 of us) ate at The Hafod Hotel just before Christmas. It is a physically imposing building opposite one of the area's main tourist attractions - a place of outstanding natural beauty - but the building had fallen into a state of shabbiness and disrepair. We were aware that the place was under new management,...
