We had booked a 8 bed room for the entire family to be together. It was a fantastic experience. Breakfast was just amazing. Sitting by the river side and the boat ride were the highlights of the trip.
Stayed in a cottage. Clean and good with basic amenities. The river is just 10 meters away. You can take a dip but need to be careful as the stones are big and slippery. Go and sit on the river front early morning and see the birds and natural vegetations around and their morning reflections on the river. The 280 years old George Harris / Purnaiayh house is another star attraction. It is not open for public but managed to get in. The road from the resort to the highway has many farm lands around. Srirangapatna is a great town, just go to the fields and the small roads and relax.
Mayura River View has a really good vibe to it. The mighty old trees and the constant flow of the river is a sight to behold. It's perfect for a family outing from Bangalore or Mysore as it stands at a reasonable distance from both these major cities. The food, however, isn't the best here. During my 3 night stay at the property, the food was the only disappointment. The only good thing that comes out of their restaurant is their jaggery coffee. I'd advise residents to stick to outside food. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Event No1: Just after our check-in even one water bottle has not been provided in executive AC room in the name of COVID. Bottle has been provided and been told to immediate make the payment. The cost of water bottel can be added in the tariff. How COVID comes in the picture whether bottle is provided as complimentary or paid. Complementary water bottle will spread COVID but paid bottle will not spread COVID. Pls review. Event No 2: Till Sunset garden lights are ON, after sunset, all the lights are fully OFF, even reception lights are OFF, night lamp for pathway to identify any snake etc and looks very dangerous in the night. At least one night lamp at path way which is compulsory to be ON for safety point of view.
Excellent location, good food and helpful staff. The location is at the riverside making for beautiful views and the peaceful sound of a flowing river. Food was tasty, but would be good if local delicacies from Karnataka are made available rather than standard north indian curries. Over all a great place to stay
