This is our first trip to Marsden and we was seriously impressed. I think we was in room 9 (had names and I can't remember what it was) the first upstairs on the right if that helps. What a fabulously huge room. Pretty 4 poster double, bed settee and lots of room and other furniture. Fabulous spa bath too. Always...

Staff were friendly and they were responsive to queries & problems, but it just kept missing the mark. Was given a room with a four poster bed and whirlpool bath, suggesting something auspicious. The bed just had a basic wooden structure which felt decidedly odd. My body was tired after a long day so decided to relax in the whirlpool...

Having eaten Sunday breakfast quite often at this venue we were told that the usual options were no longer available but just a full English breakfast was the only option. I don't have a problem with this at all. However my husband asked if they did a vegetarian option and they said they did. The vegetarian option was the same...

Incredible....on the outside looks like a drinkers haunt but once inside the menu is all fresh and local produce which is amazing. The chef comes to the table and will accommodate any request for even the fussiest eaters. Definately worth a visit , puts any chain restaurant to shame! A great little gem, massively underrated!!

Stayed here after attending a family party nearby to avoid driving. Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Only there from 6pm Saturday til 10am next day. our room was nicely decorated and had a great bathroom with jacuzzi bath. It was a superior room but think it cost no more than the others. The full english breakfast was excellent and...

My wife and i just spent 3 nights in this typical English b & b. The staff were great. Breakfast was good and the accommodation was exactly as described. If in the area again and need a place to stay then this will do me fine.

Tried booking a table twice now for tea time, once for a table of 5 and tonight a table for 10. On both occasions the 'boy' who answered the phone has put us right off!! The first time he said 'oh you might not want to book tonight as we have parties in' why not just say 'that's fine' and...

Thank you for your review, however I'm not sure what we have done wrong, if we accepted your booking and didn't tell you about two large parties or a limited menu due to the time of year, when you arrived you would be disappointed leading to a complaint or even a terrible review on trip advisor, as it happens we...

Called in on a Friday after a walk on Marsden Moor. Ordered off their very reasonable lunchtime specials. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent, the beer was good. An excellent two course lunch for two with drinks for less than £25.00. We will go back.

We had my grandmas 80th birthday here. Its a lovely building with very friendly staff. They also have a nice little area that we booked out to eat in. All the food is homemade so all in all a good place to visit

We stayed in the New Inn for one night with our mother and father-in-law to attend a wedding. When we arrived we were shown to our room by a pleasant young man. Our room smelt of chip fat which we presumed was because we were above the kitchen and thought it might be gone by the time we got back...
