Winter Haven Inn had all the ammenities of a 5 star hotel without being touristy. The staff was warm and friendly, making us feel at home during our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean with a deck off the back providing a great view. Peter, the chef, prepared amazing meals for us while we caught up on the games.... More

The hotel was wonderful. The staff made the most memorable impression on our group. Everyone was so personable and helpful... by the end of the trip they were like family to our group. We left our doors unlocked and some days open when we were out fishing. Winterhaven is located in the best area on the island- the ocean views,... More

Highly recommend Winterhaven if you're looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy a part of the Bahamas often overlooked. The food was reef caught or trolled up every other day, the meals were amazing, the staff was always there to assist but left you alone to really enjoy your stay.

Winterhaven is an absolute slice of heaven nestled seaside on the best island in the Bahamas. The Rowdy boys and their eversweet staff took care of everything we could ask for and way-way more. The culinary mad-genius and generosity of Chef Peter, I will never ever forget him - wow! This is a place you can really relax, unwind, feel... More

My boyfriend and I came to Long Island for the gorgeous beaches, bone fishing and privacy. We chose the Winter Haven Inn because of their charm and fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor. We stayed at this amazing place for 10 whole days and we cant wait to return! Our room was gorgeous, with breathtaking views and total privacy, balconies in... More

Winter Haven Inn's accommodations were comfortable and charming. The eight of us enjoyed all our meals at the Rowdy Boys Bar and Grill. The staff were warm and very accommodating even when we attempted to deplete their wine supply. This place is a must stay when being in Long Island (Bahamas best kept secret).

I spent two weeks at Winter Haven with groups of fishermen, and we couldn't have been happier with the operation. This family-run outfit offers first-class service, a welcoming atmosphere, and an awesome location. The rooms were bright, spacious, immaculate, and offered outstanding views. Chef Peter knocked our socks off with each meal. The gourmet selections he served blew away what... More

Our group of 6 anglers spend a week at Winter Haven in March of 2010 to chase bonefish and other flats species. Winter Haven was a delightful place to stay. The rooms were large and very clean, w/ dailey maid service. My balcony looked out to the ocean and the sound of the surf sent me to dreamland every night.... More

My wife and another couple spent a week at Winter Haven Inn on the recommendation of a bonefisherman friend and fisheyesoup.com. Bonefishing was the reason for choosing Long Island initially. Having been to many Caribbean resorts both fishing and sailing, we were a bit sketched of the Bahamian reputation. Not to worry. We spent a week touring and fishing out... More

“The best room is definitely the ocean top floor left. Very comfortable beds. If I had one complaint it would be the shower water pressure. On the other hand, it is generally not very good at most places on Long Island.”
