Detailed Reviews
A lovely friendly family run hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, hard working and went out of their way to make our visit a most enjoyable one. The rooms we stayed in were nicely decorated, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were excellent and we also ate in the restaurant on two nights - the cuisine on offer was very tasty. The ski/boot room is good, easily accessed and has heated boot warmers. The hotel is 3 minutes walk away from a bus stop where you can catch the local free bus shuttle. The hotel is also only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Morzine. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

Stay here was on a Crystal ski package. Nice family run hotel reasonably well situated for ski access. 2 minute walk to free bus stop for Morzine or Avoriaz. Room comfortable and nice outlook over river. As usual there is very limited hanging/drying space for ski gear when you return. However when we came in after a very wet day the staff offered to dry all our kit in boiler room and it was returned next morning dry and warm! Food was superb with a buffet breakfast and a 5 course Dinner always served with a smile by delightful hostess.

We stayed four nights in March 2023 for the skiing. The hotel is well-placed for the free shuttle bus and just a short walk (or get the bus) into the town.
Rooms are simple and charming, with balconies and comfortable beds. We had a bath which was great for relaxing after skiing.
Breakfasts are very good but we felt a bit pricey at Euros 14 per person. I wonder if this and other hotels had thought of offering a discount on the breakfast price if you book the breakfast in advance for your whole stay? We booked room only and paid for the breakfasts we took later, as there seemed no difference between booking bed and breakfast and booking room only and paying for breakfasts as an extra.
The hotel owners are really helpful and friendly. We'll be back, and may well sample the dinners too.
By the way, if you want a hot drink in the room, bring a travel kettle. And the hotel is very quiet, but you can open the window and hear the river outside - wonderful!

The score is a 3,5
The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is ok but not above average, the beds are good, but the bathroom was very outdated. I don’t like showering while standing in a bath with a showercurtain sticking to my skin. The signs indicating a sauna led to nowhere (never found it). The staff was unfortunately not able to serve food without prior planning and the selection of dishes was small.
The hotel is very conveniently located for the skibuses to both the centre of Morzine as well as to Avoriaz (a 50m walkto the bus stop). The centre of the town is a short 10 mins walk.
Wifi is sufficient. All in all we had a pleasant stay. I would’ve preferred half board if they would have offered it (with more variety than only local specialities)

A great value comfortable hotel with wonderful family service. The family were incredibly helpful (right down to helping me order snow chains on Amazon France!). I had a double room which was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean - with a proper super hot power shower. Easy access ski room and the hotel has ideal access to the bus system with the nearest stop being around 30m away which was a principle drop off for all bus routes. About a 10 min walk to the Les Gets lifts and the centre of town. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a great week skiing in Morzine & Avoriaz and Hotel le Soly was the perfect base. We received a warm welcome and stayed in an immaculate double room overlooking the river, to the rear of the building. The hotel was spotless and very well presented throughout. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided a lovely selection of breakfasts for us to enjoy - the prefect start to each morning
!
The location is excellent - being just a short walk (1 minute in ski gear) to a bus stop, which served the wider village and resort and a 5 - 10 minute walk to shops, bars & restaurants. There is a secure drying room and ample parking for those who drive. Should we return to Morzine in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to book to stay at Hotel le Soly.

Nice rooms, clean, piping hot water, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Good boot room and large car park should you wish to drive. Beware check in time is 15:00-19:00 which caught us out as booking.com just said check in after 15:00. Location is about a 15 minute walk to the town centre, ski lifts and shops. It is on the main but route in to town if you don’t want to walk. I would stay here again

This hotel was a great find. We were made very welcome and hosts were happy to give advice and directions.
Very comfortable and cosy room not large but enough storage for two with wardrobe, shelves, desk and bed side tables. Warm and modern bathroom with bath and excellent shower. Also had a balcony overlooking river which was nice additional space.
This hotel has a great boot / ski room with heated racks (and a toilet which is great if you have just got all your gear on and don't want to go back to your room!)
For us this was a good location as we didn't want to be in the heart of apres ski. There is a bus stop practically outside - frequent buses in to town or ski lifts including up to Prodains for Avoriaz - this was excellent as snow was melting fast lower down in Morzine. There are some good pizza restaurants in under 5 mins walking distance and Carrefour Supermarket about 7-8mins walk. You can walk in to central Morzine in about 15mins passing plenty of shops and bars.
Breakfast on the website doesn't do it justice. It was simple but had everything we wanted fruit, bacon, eggs, bread and pastries etc. Good coffee and juices too.
We would definitely stay here next time.

A wonderful small hotel close enough to Morzine town centre but not too close to hear the nightlife. The walk back to the hotel is on a gentle incline. There is a fast flowing river directly behind which provides a constant soothing noise, which helped me sleep. Rooms are very clean and mine had a large balcony. The highlight for me each morning was the fantastic breakfast buffet which, for an Englishman included bacon, eggs and sausage in addition to the usual continental choice. To the rear is a well kept lawned garden and a lovely swimming pool. The family who own the hotel are friendly and can’t do enough to help, their English is just about enough to encourage you to try some French, my school level French came under some pressure hahah! Look forward to returning.

What a fantastic hotel this is. All the staff are friendly and you get the feeling that nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s comfortable and clean, and the food cannot be faulted. Every day, the menu was varied and the quantities were fantastic. I’ll be revisiting!
