We stayed here for a ski holiday in January, what originally attracted us to stay here was the fact the hotel was right by the Pleney gondola so we could literally ski back to the hotel.

When we arrived we were blown away by the quality of the hotel and how welcoming all the staff were. We stayed in a standard double room which is slightly on the small side but the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely (although the shower was quite hot and we couldn't work out the temperature settings). We had a village facing room which had a balcony with seating provided. We travelled with some friends and the hotel had arranged for us to be in rooms near each other which was really helpful.

When you arrive you are given a specific ski locker and code which you use all week and was perfect as it meant skis are kept separate rather than all piled in to one room which is what we have had in other hotels.

The staff and food at the hotel was incredible. Each morning you are greeted by a friendly face and offered tea/coffee before enjoying a buffet style breakfast. In the evenings you had a buffet style starter followed by a choice of 3 main meals (meat option, fish option and vegetarian option). you were then offered a choice of cheeses to enjoy and finally were given a dessert of the day. The staff are so accommodating an friendly and were more than happy to substitute things out of the dishes when requested (we travelled with someone who couldn't eat gluten).

unfortunately at the beginning of the trip a couple of our party fell ill and couldn't come down for dinner. The staff were so lovely and always enquired after our friends and offered to send some food up to the rooms for them instead. They seemed genuinely concerned about our friends being unwell and when they were better the staff asked how they were feeling.

The spa area was lovely although only opens from 4 p.m. which was convenient for us after a full day of skiiing to soak in the pool/Jacuzzi area as well as access to a steam room and sauna. There is also an option to have spa treatments in the hotel although we didn't have chance to use these facilities.

Opposite the hotel is the pleney gondola which is walking distance away and you can ski right back to the front of the hotel (so not lots of carrying of ski gear or getting on to busses!) By the Pleney gondola is a stop for a road train (which is a free shuttle) which collects people and transports them to the Super Morzine gondola. This service runs every 5-10 minutes and is so convenient to hop on and off.

The town of Morzine itself has plenty to offer with lots of restaurants and bars and shopping areas. It is a beautiful place and we found ourselves just happy to walk around in the evenings as it is very magical with all of their lights etc.

We would definitely visit Hotel Champs Fleuris again and could not recommend it enough. What made it for us was how wonderful the staff were but also the hotel is so perfectly located i dont know why people would want to stay anywhere else! Thank you for a fabulous stay, we will be back!!

This hotel was top notch in every way. Most impressive was the kind host family on site at all times to ensure a great experience for the guests. The complementary breakfast buffet was amazing - even included fresh squeezed orange juice! The rooms are beautifully decorated in a crisp European style. To top it off, the location is within steps of a gondola or a little 'ski train' that will shuttle you across town to the Avoriaz lifts. I look forward to another visit!

We were recommended to stay here by The Morzine Tourist Office and were completely blown away by how perfect everything is here. The location is perfect , right next to the Pleney Lift and a very short walk away from the main bars and square yet so perfectly quiet and peaceful. All the staff were so attentive and couldn't have been more helpful, the food was absolutely delicious and our room was soo comfortable. it looks like it had been freshly refurbished. All the facilities at the hotel were exceptionally clean and everything you could wish for after a day on the piste. So pleased we stayed here and had the best holiday ever ! we will definatly be returning again,

We had a fantastic stay at the Champs Fleuris hotel. Located directly opposite Le Pleney bubble lift, you couldn’t get better access to the slopes. The staff are wonderful and can’t do enough for the guests. The food is incredible, especially the desserts which were like a work of art each night and so delicious!
Children under 12 who share a room with their parents get to stay for free, so the value for money here is fantastic. We had plenty of room with our 4 year old sharing with us and we had a fab view of the mountains. The cleaning staff should be commended too - they work so hard and do a brilliant job. Everything was spotless!
The hotel offered a free ski guide every day (except for Saturday) and my husband went out with the group on our last day in morzine. He loved it and got to experience some amazing off piste skiing as a result.
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your hotel. We will certainly return!

This family run hotel is located next to the main gondola in Morzine and the home run brings you to the hotel door, so it's a perfect location for skiers.
The towns shops and nightlife are all within 5 minutes walking distance.
The food is very good with an extensive breakfast buffet, providing all you will need for a day's skiing. The evening salad buffet is also extensive and changes daily. This can be followed by soup, main course, cheese and desert plus coffee.
The hotels biggest asset are the owners and their staff who give excellent service and go out of their way to help. In our own case the service went way beyond my expectations, truly excellent and very caring.
Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a 7 day break. We stayed in a 2 room apartment- Chalet Matine which is run by Champs Fleuris. Whilst the hotel is listed as 4 star, I think the Chalet is more 3 star.

Pros
It meant our family of 3 could be together.
Fantastic location, couldn't beat it.
Use of the spa in the main hotel.
Ate evening meal in the Hotel twice & it was lovely.
Bus put on for transfer to Prodain gondola.
The main hotel has a warm and welcoming feel.

Main Cons
Our biggest concern was the sleeping arrangements. We booked through Iglu Ski who clearly state that the apartment is suitable for 2 adults & 2 children OR 3 adults. We were a party of 3 adults. As expected, one adult would be sleeping in the lounge. On arrival, we were shown the 3rd bed which consisted of a bottom sheet and a thin scratchy dirty looking blanket to sleep under. When we asked for an actual duvet, we were told the lounge beds were for children. I explained that Iglu Ski state 3 adults and was told it wasn't the hotels fault. Im sure the hotel must know the ages of the guests arriving in advance and were happy to take payment for 3 adult guests. They did provide the requested duvet. Note there are no curtains for privacy in the lounge/sleeping area, just nets.

The apartment is not cleaned once during a week.
The towels are not changed once (they did provide clean towels on request)
It is stated that chalet guests can use the spa or pool yet you are not provided with pool towels or gowns. There are no changing facilities at the spa. (Again, provided on request).
Kitchen equipment adequate but some crockery was chipped.

This accomodation could benefit from some hooks to hang ski clothes (Note there are no radiators in the chalet to dry clothes on).
A mirror in the bedroom (the only mirror is in the bathroom)
A basket for the fire wood to save getting splinters of wood in your feet.

Otherwise a lovely stay and would return if coming back to Morzine.

This might seem a strange review as i did not actually stay in the Champs Fleuris this visit as we had left our booking too late to get a room. we ended up in an apartment in the town which was fine but soulless so we spent a lot of our trip in the Champs and enjoyed the hospitality and facilities the Hotel has to offer.
We would like to thank Veronique, Justine, Max, Jean Marie and all the staff for their excellent hospitality and friendly welcome and for treating us like old pals. It was also great to meet the next generation - it wont be long before they are running the hotel.
It was excellent to catch up with old friends staying in the hotel and enjoyed the food and bar service (make sure if you are resident in the hotel not to miss the afternoon Raclette day as it is one of the best experiences of the week).
Merci again Fam Michaud and look forward to seeing you next year.
Bisous from Doreen & Dan

After booking our stay at this hotel nearly a year ago, we were so disappointed when we had to cancel the day before arrival due to positive covid tests, which were picked up in our pre-departure tests to enter France. The hotel staff were so kind and even with only one day notice of cancellation, during what must have been a very busy week (half term), they did not charge us for the room, and even refunded our deposit. It was such a pleasant surprise during a pretty awful time for our family and we are really grateful for the fantastic customer service. We hope to rebook and visit this hotel in the future. Our friends went and have told us they had a lovely time!

This was our first visit to Morzine and we did our research before selecting a hotel....and it certainly paid off. This is a fabulous hotel. It is directly next to the Pleney lift or the train to the Super Morzine (for skiing Avoriaz) and you can ski back to the hotel via 3 different slopes. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The food is unbelievably good and the service impeccable. The hosts/owners make a huge effort to ensure everyone feels at home and go out of their way to help with anything that isn’t perfect.

Some things for improvement (and note I’m being really picky) - the internet connection wasn’t great, only French channels worked on the TV in the room (yet international were on offer) and it would have been fantastic to have boot warmers or somewhere better to store boots so they could dry. Minor niggles though. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Can't tell you about Chamonix but getting to Avoriaz is quite straightforward. First option is the free road-train which stops around 30 metres from the hotel & runs on a circular route through the centre of Morzine taking you to the Super-Morzine gondola. This links into the Avoriaz sector. Second, more direct option is to get the free shuttle bus (navette) from the bus stop on the main road to Les Prodains. From here a large newish gondola takes you right up to the centre of Avoriaz. This bus runs very frequently & takes about 10-15 min to get to Les Prodains. Avoriaz is higher than Morzine & has a good snow record although I understand it can get quite congested if snow conditions are poor elsewhere. Hope this helps. Enjoy your holiday. You'll like the Champs Fleuris!
