Detailed Reviews
We stayed here as a family group with two other families in mid Feb this year, the hotel is in a good location, It has a lovely reception and lounge area incorporating a bar. The rooms were newly decorated and very tidy, not massive but more than adequate with a fantastic shower! Probably the best I have experienced in a hotel room, I was very impressed with the thought put in to the hotel rooms, bags of storage space and clothes hangars. We also used the hotel restaurant one evening, that was also very pleasant. The staff were very attentive and there is nothing really negative to say, A little expensive I suppose but I would guess its fairly standard for Morzine. We would definitely stay again.

We (luckily) ended up at Le Petit Dru following an appalling hotel experience in Megeve, resulting in our last-minute / same-day booking. The lady welcoming us at the reception was extremely helpful and understanding, the rooms were exactly what we were looking for, namely a large, renovated room (25 square meters) with a large balcony nicely opening up on Morzine's edge and convenient foot access to the village, a comfortable bed and a solid shower. Bar and restaurant were both professionally manned and classically relaxing, with free parking and outdoor pool being great plusses. By and large, Le Petit Dru is a traditional, unpretentious hotel, a proper four-star property, with sensible, spacious hardware, and a genuine, hospitable Team.

Stayed with a few friends for a long weekend skiing. We loved this hotel!
The staff at reception were always helpful and friendly, from personally showing us to our room, to booking lift passes for us, and general advice.
The hotel is well positioned on the edge of the town, but just a 5/10 min walk into the centre. The bus stop is just outside which seemed frequent for going both into Morzine (few minutes) or Avoriaz (5-10mins). The hotel was styled like a chalet which felt cosy, especially with the fire on in reception.
We had pre-booked our ski hire through Intersport, and picked it up the evening we arrived, someone is at the hire room in the hotel every morning and night. There is a large heated boot room to leave boots in, then lots of lockers for skis/boards.
The bar was welcoming, we had a drink most evenings and had dinner one evening which was excellent. Breakfast was good in the morning with a wide selection.
Rooms were well sized with good storage and the shower was amazing! Only minor comments, the bathroom fan didn't work so little damp smelling on arrival and would have been good to have some hooks by the front door.
We enjoyed using the outdoor pool and the hot tub, perfect relax post day's skiing.
Highly recommend this hotel, we plan to return next year!

Travelling as a group of three we had a lovely stay in this hotel. Staff very friendly, rooms clean and great facilities. The bar area is very nice to relax and the spa facilities were perfect after a days skiing. We were half board but ended up spending two nights in the hotel’s restaurant, that did excellent food. In the mornings we were treated to plenty of breakfast options and a friendly smile from the waiting staff. In terms of location this hotel is roughly ten minutes walk to the town centre; or there is a bus stop ten metres up the road, which was ideal for getting to various different lifts for skiing.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for people wanting to get out and about skiing in portes du soleil and then enjoy a relaxing time in the evenings.
Only negative comment would be that some of the light switches in the room have quite bright LEDs in (so we just stuck stickers on them at night).

A lovely quaint hotel perfect for a weekend of skiing. We stayed here in March, pre-pandemic, as part of a work ski trip. They handled the large group very well and the perfect location meant it was easy to source equipment and access the main town. The hotel is small, clean and the staff were very friendly- I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel petit Dru review
A lovely hotel with fantastic breakfast -
We (myself and 16 girls) stayed at Le petit dru morzine for the second time 9-11th February 2022. We stayed the year before and really liked the service and the location. Herve and his team couldn’t do enough for us. He even got out a platter of food for us when we had missed a meal and came back late and didn’t charge us for it!
The WiFi can be a little intermittent so we were struggling to get messages to eachother and home sometimes.
The breakfast would definitely be a highlight for us as the selection is massive and the staff are extremely helpful. The spa is never too busy and is lovely and warm after a hard days skiing.
The beds are very comfy and some toiletries are available in the room. Also a hairdryer and lots of plug sockets. One tip on sleeping was that there is a clock tower right near the hotel and it starts chiming from 6.30am so if you’re a light sleeper take some earplugs.
Most of us hired our ski kit from Caribou 1 near the main lift in morzine. Defo take out the insurance with the ski hire as one of the group had her skis taken from outside yeti bar in avoriaz. One of our crew hired skis from inter sport and was able to leave them in the hotel when checking out which was a bonus.
The walk to the morzine lift was quite far in ski boots but not too bad when used to it. Also from the front of the hotel to the left is the free bus to avoriaz which we did most days (the skiing was better as higher up).
Lots of good bars for aprez ski straight off the slope.
For big groups booking the Folie Douce dance bar in Avoriaz for a meal and a party is fantastic i would definitely recommend looking into booking this one afternoon.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will return.

Very average, hotel facilities not open till after 4pm. No one in the bar area to even get a glass of water. Room was small and the bathroom shower area needed a good clean.
Breakfast - dirty tables we had to take knifes and forks off other tables that had been already used staff standing around not interested.
Breakfast help yourself but I would expect a clean table
For €250 this was not up to standard. Will not be staying here again.
If it was €100 I would expect this type of standard

Stayed here for 3 nights for a short ski break. Very welcoming staff, nice compact room with a modern feel, good sized in room fridge for drinks and milk, kettle in room. No bath but lovely shower and lots of hot water. Had a great view towards the church and Morzine town centre. from the room and balcony.
Plenty of social area within the reception / bar area which was needed as several largish groups seemed to be staying.
Pool and Jacuzzi were nice although on one day the jacuzzi was not very warm at all, shame the sauna and steam room are 2 floors down but no big problem. They provide robes, slippers and towels.
We paid 18 euros each for breakfast as an extra and there was a reasonable choice but it was worth it as you can revisit the buffet and replenish drinks etc.
I loved the French lady at breakfast who told me off for speaking to fast but when I spoke to her in French (which I should have done at the start) she was really nice to me and didn't answer back in English like so many French people do when your French isn't perfect! The bar guys, restaurant staff and reception staff were great too, all very friendly.
There are ski lockers but no where to dry ski boots but a great ski hire service as the hire shop comes to the hotel twice a day making getting and returning kit easy.
Its a short walk into town, the bus stop to Avoriaz stops very near the hotel. The only issue with the hotel was the steep drive was very icy and needed a bit of attention when trying to walk up it for the bus in ski boots carrying ski etc.
The only other thing that troubled me and no fault of the Hotel was SOME of the other residents were rather loud and sweary, (English men) I'm sad to say. This could be heard at times in the restaurant which isn't really on. There were some families with children staying not just moaning middle aged women like me who don't like repeatedly hearing the F word!
I would definitely recommend and would go back.

We had a lovely week in Le Petit Dru during Feb half term.
Pros: Very friendly staff throughout the hotel and pleasant rooms with nice showers. We were on the second floor and our rooms had balconies with amazing views of the village. The food was also nice overall. I had a brilliant massage with the hotel masseuse "Laurence" she worked really hard which I appreciated as I went in with some shoulder pain. Give Laurence a go but try and book in advance as she's around in the evenings only.
Cons:
With regards to food I wish there was more & better variety of nicely cooked vegetables to accompany the fish, meat...dishes.
I didn't use the pool myself but the rest of my family did once though they didn't want to go back as they said the water was cold. I agree with the reviews that the pool and the spa facilities need updating.
The wifi is almost non-existent which was a surprise!
Overall we were happy. We felt that we had a 4 star experience even though the bill says otherwise :-) Thanks Le Petit Dru

This is a really superb hotel. We brought a corporate group of 45 people here in April 2022. The staff are truly incredible, nothing is too much for them. The room I stayed in had huge windows and a balcony overlooking the resort and Pleney ski area. The style and quality of the room was exceptional. The resort centre is accessed from the lower floor of the hotel, and is just a couple of minutes away, whilst ski buses for Avoriaz and Morzine stop directly outside the hotel. The restaurant is fabulous. This really is a special hotel.
