Arrived to a warm welcome from staff. Lovely clean hotel in all areas. Fantastic facilities. Boot room with heated boot rack and lockers for each room for ski, poles etc. Sauna and steam room open daily with plenty of towels provided. Whilst board is only bed and breakfast they provide excellent self cooking facilities in their breakfast room. Fully equipped kitchenette with hob, cooker, microwave and dishwasher. All the pots, pans and crockery for you to cook for yourselves rather than eat out. Fridge for your use too. All they ask is that you tidy up after yourselves and so long as you scrap you’re plates etc and stack the dishwasher they will do the rest.

Breakfast daily was a self service buffet, cold meats, cereals etc...

Ideally located 300m from the super morzine and 250m from the Pleney cable car’s you couldn’t ask to be better located.

Would return in a flash.

Thanks team Hotel Igloo for a great stay.

Recently stayed at this hotel with my son for 5 day ski trip and found it to have everything that was required to enjoy the break.
The owner had all our ski and boots in the lockers when we arrived sorted out our ski passes in fact she could not have been more helpful.
The hotel is clean and tidy and breakfast had everything you required to set you up for the days skiing.
Definitely returning again next year.

The hotels location was perfect, situated approximately a three minute walk to both the Pleney and Super-Morzine lifts. The staff were very helpful and friendly, so-much-so, prior to arrival Josette questioned preferable room configuration and provided discount codes for local ski hire and ski pass.

The rooms were basic, yet very clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and a safe. The continental breakfast was adequate and fresh, with very good service.

The only issues were that the room temperature was frequently too hot with no thermostat in room, and the key system was very dated.

All in all, a very good stay and would most certainly return.

This is my eighth review of the `Hotel L'Igloo so it is hard to think of new superlatives to say about the place. Obviously, over the years we have become good friends with the owner/manager but even first time visitors can expect a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, baths deep enough to drown in and an excellent buffet breakfast. And all with the superb skiing that the Portes du Soleil has to offer.

We'll be back.

This hotel is in a good location if you are skier all facilities to leave your skies to go in and out the slopes. It’s near town and restaurant too so you won’t feel isolated from the rest of the world.
Breakfast is average no swimming pool.
Room service is good but there’s only particular time they come in. If you are not out by 10am, your room won’t get cleaned.
So even if you are on vacation can’t lay in bed late :)
Overall we had all we needed for 1 week of ski holiday.

I don't write many Trip Advisor reviews, but I have to make an exception for Hotel L'Igloo, it's one of the best places to stay in Morzine, particularly for a solo trip.

Firstly the hotel is in a wonderful location, very close to the centre and between the 2 main ski lifts (Pleney and Super Morzine). Every part of the hotel is spotlessly clean.

My room was traditional alpine in style, with lovely views out across the mountains and a very good size for a solo. It had a very comfortable double bed, crisp clean bed linen, a choice of pillows and lots of storage space. The shower room was very modern, again spotlessly clean, with all towels new & beautifully white.

The balcony was the perfect place to sit with a drink in the evenings and when ready to sleep, the shutters and double glazing meant that the room was incredibly quiet, I slept like a log whilst I was there!

There is a secure ski/boot/bike room covered by CCTV and bike washing facilities for those visiting in the summer.

The breakfast buffet is generous with fresh eggs every morning, meats, cheeses, fruit, pastries, fresh bread, yogurts and juice. In the evenings, the well equipped kitchen is available for guests to use, which for a solo traveller is brilliant.

Whilst the hotel is already very good value, the 'Multipass' is free with a weeks stay. This saved me €14 a day, and gave me free access to the lifts, buses, swimming pool and ice skating, plus discounts at lots of other places. I can highly recommend getting the bus to Montriond lake. Also recommend taking the Pleney lift and walking over to Les Gets before catching the (free with your multipass) bus back.

Family run, the hotel has a really lovely feel to it, Emma and Josette are very welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. I love the hotel and will definitely be returning!

The Igloo is in the perfect location just a few minutes from either of Morzine's main lifts which also means it's ideal for bars, ski hire and restaurants. The (cold) breakfast is what you'd expect to find at a ski hotel and the room was fine, with good clean bathroom facilities. The ski room is good with a heated boot rack and there is a steam room/sauna which we didn't use.
It is on the main road which our room overlooked so was quite noisy and it lacks a bar so is pretty much a B&B.
We would stay there again but probably not at this time of year as the current rates are expensive for the overall package.

We only stayed one night but I will definitely stay again. The hotel is in a great location close to the centre of Morzine but at the same time is very quiet. The room was absolutely spotless and the staff were all really helpful and attentive. The hotel does have parking which is at the rear so I was able to park my vehicle securely.

My wife and I spent 4 days in Morzine at the Hotel l'Igloo. It's a small hotel that's not fancy, but it is clean, well run, and felt like you expect the French alps to feel. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The included breakfast was typical continental with enough selection to please anyone, I think. The location was outstanding. A 2 block walk to the Pleney lift gets you to the Morzine/les Gets areas. Even with limited snow this year, we skied back to within a block of the hotel (plenty of places would call that "ski in/ski out". To get to Avoriaz, you walk 4 blocks (300 yards) to the Super Morzine lift, and then 2 chairlifts (and a little skiing) to get to Avoriaz, where we had lunch in Switzerland.

The room itself was well laid out - not large but a small table and comfortable queen bed. The bathroom seemed to be recently renovated and was beautiful, with a great shower, and I think there was a heated floor/

The hotel has a ski room with ski lockers for each room (typical) and easy access to outside. In less than 10 minutes you can get to many of the restaurants in town (and some are much closer).

We had a great time there and would strongly recommend l'Igloo for a ski trip to Morzine and the French Alps!

We stayed Hotel Igloo for 3 nights last week and were very pleased with the standard of the rooms, the bathrooms of which appeared to have recently been refurbished along with the sauna area. It is very convenient for both the Pleney and SuperMorzine lifts - no need to struggle with Le Petit Train! - as well as the centre of town and restaurants.
