The hotel room we had was very small. Other than the toilet, which was cleaned once, the rest of the room was left all week. The communal toilets were only cleaned once a day it seemed and ran out of toilet roll from lunch onwards one day. We also had to buy in toilet roll for the room. The food was plentiful and mostly nice, but sometimes a bit strange and didn't cater for my vegetarian friends very well. The wine was very nice and plentiful. There's no place to relax. If you're going as a group and want a place to chill out with friends after skiing then this isn't the place to do it. The bar area is not good for adults without children and reminded me of an outdated cricket club. All entertainment and signage was in french, so be prepared to translate. Ski storage was available and access to multiple lifts up the slopes was ideal. Also very short distance to all bars and restaurants.

If I was french and had children then I'd maybe take them here.

We stayed in the property in summer 2015 with two small children. The hotel is nice but needs bit of refurbishment. Our room was spacey enough for two adults (a double bed in the room) and two small children (a bunk bed in the corridor). Perfect view on the mountains from any of the rooms because the hotel is surrounded by splendid views.
There was no much choice of food at the restaurant but the food was healthy and tasty. There were traditional savoyard dishes like tartiflette served one evening. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. As for evening animation we preferred to go out and spend an evening on the central square of Morzine where there were free shows and concerts every night.

We stayed at this hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) and have previously lived and worked in the alps for many years... therefore, we know what to expect of a typically French hotel in a Ski resort!
Overall we had a great stay at the hotel and hopefully this review will provide you with some helpful information:
Location - you couldn't ask for anything more, its ideally located in the centre of resort with easy access to the shops, bars and restaurants and the slopes.
General Accommodation - the hotel is well presented and all public areas, whilst plain and simple are kept clean and tidy. The bedrooms are only cleaned once a week.
Bedrooms - a bit dated but very clean and tidy and typical size for a hotel, not a great deal of room but enough for what you need (you're there to ski, not sit in the room) with standard beds (although mattresses were very hard) and bunk bed for the kids, with plenty of wardrobe space but limited options to hang coats, which would be handy in a ski resort.
Bathrooms - yes, as previous reviews state they are somewhat dated and small, but they are fully functional and strangely enough you can wash your face, go to the toilet and have a hot shower! We ran out of toilet roll on day 5 and simply asked reception for more, which was then topped up within the hour.
Bar - it is very basic in its function and doesn't open until early evening. There is limited seating and it lacks atmosphere and appeal which does not invite you to sit down and have a relaxing drink as it appears to be set up around the children's entertainment / animation team activities, so if you're there without small children its quite off-putting as the bar is packed full with small children and activities every night - it may be better to hold these activities in the children's club room/ area?
Restaurant - clean and tidy, with the area split in to various sections / rooms and does have a bit of a school canteen feel to it (especially with trays at breakfast), but the food was plentiful, good quality and taste with a variety of choice for breakfast and evening meal (if you're English then you'll probably think there are a few odd dishes on offer) with plenty of wine included in the package. We were full board but due to lack of communication we didn't realise that you could return to the hotel for lunch or order a packed lunch the evening before until mid week.
Lift - I did read a review that said it was due to be updated ready for this winter – it hasn’t happened and it was out of order for the first 2-3 days we were there.
Ski Lockers - in the basement with individual lockers which was handy, but boots didn't dry very well so we did take them up to our room on occasion.
Staff - all of the staff were very friendly and polite, and always acknowledged and welcomed you, but as I understood it only a small number of them spoke English... but you are in France, so come on make the effort to speak the local language!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and if you’re not expecting 5* from 3* hotel then I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone – it offers excellent value for money and a very good service, facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel was dreadful, from the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt like we had gate crashed the over 70s holiday that had arrived in 2 coaches at the same time as us. We had to wait 30 mins to go to our room because the lift only fit 2 people in and there was about 40 people queuing for it. When we got into our room it was disappointing to see, the bunk beds were so thin in width my 17year old son struggled to get in it. Then the double bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was dated and really really small, not that clean and the towels had rips in them. The restaurant was nothing I had ever experienced in a hotel before, it reminded me of a dinner hall, there was no queuing, everyone was pushing and shoving, very little vegetarian food, the vegetable soup had meat in it! There wasn’t much food left at breakfast time and we had to wait for more food to come out. This was my 1st ski trip but my husband has been skiing for 15 years and he has never experienced anything like this hotel. Every night the hotel wreaked of cheese fondue, they served this to the French guests in the evening, the smell drifted up to the 3rd floor where we were staying, quite sickening to be honest. There was only one staff member who spoke English and she didn’t work every day so we weren’t able to communicate with the hotel staff, they where friendly though. The Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby and not in the rooms, we couldn’t sit in the lobby at night as there was entertainment on for the 2 coach loads of people, everything was catered for them and made me and my family feel like we were intruding their holiday oh and there was no seating left down there for us anyway. The fire alarm went off ont early evening, we went outside via the emergency stairwell with a couple of other French guests and as we looked in at the hotel from the outside most people didn’t evacuate, there was no communication with us, this was terrible of the hotel. The food in the evening was so bad that we had to eat out 5 out of the 7 nights, the hot food was served cold and lack of pescatarian food was evident. The only thing I could personally eat was the salad bar and the bread and as mentioned before I didn’t trust the soup as the vegi one contained meat!! The pool/sauna- we went to use it one afternoon after skiing all day to be told it was not in use due the earlier fire alarm. What a disappointing hotel visit and a waste of money.

This 'hotel' is more like a youth hostel than a hotel. There are good and bad points:

Good : great location in the centre of town very close to main ski lifts,
Bedrooms were clean, warm and had good mattresses. Plenty of wardrobe space and hot water for showers. Lovely views of mountains
Breakfast adequate (continental with hot options of scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausages). The toaster was broken so no toast.
Staff were friendly and very helpful
Fairly quiet at night (the odd few could be heard coming in at night but not really a problem).
Some complained that the wifi was limited to the main reception but I had 5G throughout most of the resort so this did not affect me

Bad: Evening meal was really poor quality with limited options. Vegetarians/vegans were restricted to a very basic salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber only) with new potatoes. We had to eat out every night.
Sauna/spa have very limited opening hours and the jacuzzi was very cold.
Shower had paint peeling off and the tiles were stained. Very tiny towels (smaller than other UK/EU regular bath towels)
Entertainment catered for the elderly - gentle line dancing/cards etc although this was not really a problem as there were plenty of bars nearby if you wanted a night out.
No ski/boot room so equipment had to be stored in bedrooms - not great when you are on the 4th floor and the lift only went to the 3rd.
Some of our group sharing a room, were severely bitten in the night (we were not affected in our room). The bite pattern looked like bed bug bites?

It's a shame because if the owners spent some money doing the place up, and having a better evening meal menu, it would be a good place to stay.

Firstly let me apologise for mirroring and using some of Darren’s comments from Leeds in January, 2023, His comments were bang on the mark.

The hotel was pretty grim. I’m laughing while writing this review as we’re back home now in the comfort of our house feeling like we’ve been staying at a working hostel and not a hotel, we certainly don’t feel like we’ve been on holiday. I’m not sure who awarded this place (I can’t call it a hotel as this hurts to much) three stars but they need to have a good look at themselves, surely this was a mistake, still laughing by the way. The lift did only fit 2 people (1 really with a case) so while a couple of us took the heavier luggage up via the lift the others struggled with their cases us to the fourth floor. The décor is in serious need of updating and our hearts sunk as we neared our rooms as the general feel of the place was pretty bad, there was even a pretty awful stain on the carpet outside of one of our rooms and when you have looked forward to your holiday for so long this is heart-breaking. Then the double bed (two single beds put together) was so hard and uncomfortable, so much so we had to rotate and change sides during the night, bit like a change of shift! The bedroom was laid out for four people and we did try the bunk beds for comfort however again disappointed. We used the duvets as pillows! How a family of four would have shared this room is beyond belief as we had to re-arrange the room to accommodate two of us, the bunk beds are within arms reach of the bathroom, The bathroom was dated and really small, so small that you were unable to sit on the toilet at the correct angle, not that clean and the towels had certainly seen better days. The restaurant was not a restaurant but more a canteen nothing I had ever experienced in a hotel before, there was no queuing, everyone was pushing and shoving, very little vegetarian food. The night we arrived was clearly overbooked and we were unable to find a seat to eat dinner, when we did, we were perched on the end of a mess hall table. Some nights the big mess hall table was reserved for the coach parties so even more limited space in the canteen. There wasn’t much food left at breakfast time and we had to wait for more food to come out, the croissants were not fresh and on occasions not cooked. Noise levels totally unacceptable. On the second day we were told off for not clearing our breakfast trays away, I was embarrassed to be shown how to clear up my table on my holiday that we had paid for and thought we were going to be asked to do the washing up as well, fortunately not…very rude man! As luck would have it, the café across the road came to our rescue and served a great breakfast and hot coffee, which of course we had to pay for. After our first night’s stay we were that saddened that we walked around Morzine trying to find other accommodation however no luck but we were so resentful of seeing other people enjoying their holidays. The hotel is clearly geared up for coach trips and the place is not geared up for so many guests. Every night the hotel really did wreak of cheese fondue, awful smell. We can recommend some great proper restaurants. Other than the Kitchen chap who wanted us to help clean on our first day the rest of the hotel staff were polite and friendly. The Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby and not in the rooms, there was know where to relax after a days skiing as we couldn’t sit in the lobby at night as there were too many people, not enough space, everything was catered for four or five children in the hotel of the coach trips. I was sat on my own on one rare occasion only to be joined and pushed out of my sit by another family and I really did feel like I’d intruded on their holiday. Luckily we didn’t experience a fire drill during our stay however had we, I would have been alarmed to have to experience the fire escapes, that were clearly in need of some attention and I may have run the risk of using the stairs inside the place, certainly wouldn’t have thrown a mattress out of the window hoping this would break our fall, still laughing by the way. The food in the evening was limited, very basic and we ended up eating out most nights, which again we had to pay for of course. We did use the Spa once and although this was a highlight of the holiday clearly not big enough and the steam room not working. I’ve never felt the need to write a review before and always thought people moan about things too much but please, please before booking at this hotel take all of the above into account and don’t book, seek alternative accommodation in Morzine which is a beautiful place and doesn’t deserve to have a hotel like this. My last words of advise would be to look at trip advisor prior to booking anywhere. A very costly mistake! Thank you Darren from Leeds and serious apologies for not reading your review in time.

Cordialement
