Detailed Reviews
Thank you doesn’t quite cut it, and nor do most superlatives but I’ll have a go. We were so lucky to spend a week at Chalet Fourmiliere over New Year. From the second we walked through the door, up until the minute we left, we experienced sheer luxury that prior to this visit we could only have dreamed of.
Alex and Tom, ably assisted by Zach and Cerys were the ultimate hosts and their priority to ensuring you have the best holiday was clear for all to see. They say they want the chalet to be like home from home and they have got that spot on (Except it’s much nicer than my home). They catered to our every need and more. We had a 2 year old and a 3 month old and weren’t quite sure what to expect but they couldn’t have done more to accommodate us and the children. Toys, gifts, teddies and of course the Vilac car were much enjoyed by my 2 year old. His meals were all prepared especially to his taste and he absolutely loved it all. Our food was divine- fine dining at its best. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, UGG bedding so cosy and all Alex’s scents, smellies and little extras were a gorgeous touch.
The Chalet and its hosts provided our family with the most incredible memories that we feel very lucky to have experienced. We will be back one day to make more!
Pure luxury does exist. It does so in the form of Chalet Fourmiliere.

We have recently got back from a totally delightful ski trip to Morzine.
We stayed at the equally delightful, boutique Chalet La Fourmilière. We were immediately greeted on arrival by the hosts Alex and Tom. Our bags disappeared to our room and we settled down to explore this really beautiful and well appointed chalet. We quickly got to meet the other guests and although we were 4 different parties, we genuinely had a very sociable and fun time.
Whilst a little walk from Morzine at Les Granges this did not matter as the chalet hosts took us to wherever we wanted to start and end our ski days, whether this was at the Prodain, Ardent, Mont Chéry, Super Morzine or Le Pleney. Our skis and ski boots were secured each evening and the heated boot warmers always mean that one’s boots are nice and dry each day.
Breakfasts were plentiful and the homemade yogurt pots were super yummy. A différent cooked option was also available each day as well as continental with fruit. Dinners were 3 courses ensemble at the table with a 4th cheese course served in front of the fire. Lauren did an amazing job with lots of delicious menus.
Wine and champagne 🥂 as well as a range of other drinks were available.
Whilst we did not feel the need to watch TV, there is one as well as a pool table and a generous size hot tub which was well used over the week and quite magical when it was snowing.
Alex and Tom made our stay very memorable and we can’t wait to go back. The whole team had a great attitude where we felt very well looked after.
Can thoroughly recommend for anyone wishing to have a very special visit in a beautifully appointed chalet.

This holiday was even better than the last one, which we didn’t think was possible. The food really was excellent and so was the choice of wines matched with the food, and the champagne and cocktails Pre and post dinner. The hosts were particularly attentive, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel so relaxed from the moment we arrived. The skis, boots and helmets coming to the chalet on the first night was another excellent service. Thank you to all at Chalet Fourmiliere, we have already booked our next skiing holiday with you.

Chalet Fourmiliere truly is the best chalet in the Alps! We had the most wonderful week, celebrating the new year in exquisite style with 5 star dining by Chef Jay and superb hospitality from our hosts, Tom and Alex, and the rest of the team, Zach and Cerys. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and snow conditions, skiing under blue skies and sunshine everyday. This is something one can only hope and pray for before their skiing holiday, however what you can absolutely guarantee when staying at this beautiful Chalet is an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re relaxing in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes, or challenging your friends to a game of killer pool in the games room, or playing poker in the lounge, this Chalet caters for everyone and everything. We had an incredible holiday made even more memorable by Chalet Fourmiliere and the team- we could not recommend it enough. It definitely lives up to its name of being home of the Best Country House Party in the Alps. We look forward to returning ASAP!! Thank you again for a once in a lifetime stay. Love Abi and Alex x

It is nearly impossible to get more luxurious than Chalet Fourmiliere, located in Morzine in the vast Portes des Soleil area, so super snow sure.
The ski lodge property is all about premier skiing with world-class service and amenities.
The chalet is style, and more, to make such special holiday memories. The service provided by the team is par excellence but special mention to amazing chef Ben, who prepares some of the most outstanding daily breakfast, afternoon tea and fine dining suppers imaginable. This together with the open bar and daily housekeeping services as well as the coolest chauffeur-driven Landrover to take you to the best ski destinations in the resort means your holiday really is all about enjoying the best of times, zero stress.
Interior designs are an example of flawless flair… blending the best of ski lodge and chalet elements, together with the practicalities of heated ski / boot room, an outdoor hot tub, spa treatment room, and games room with pool table.
And I haven’t even mentioned the wonderful gathering spaces with a giant fireplace and oversized Ralph Lauren style sofas promising hours of relaxation drinking hot chocolate or chilled super perfect house champagne or beautiful malt whiskey by the fire.
Our guest suite was also a sublime destination, featuring a massive, comfy bed with Ugg accessories, and a luxurious bathroom with Molton Brown products.
With so many amenities and services, this Lodge really is the ultimate ski retreat.
To Alex and Tom, the hosts ... thank you for an unforgettable magical winter wonderland Christmas.
Looking forward to the next time…

Had a week's skiing trip in March 2022. Unfortunately I had a ski injury on day 1 so couldn't ski for the rest of the week. As such I probably spent more time in the chalet than most other visitors and in summary it's a fantastic place in which to stay. The hosts (Tom & Alex) are lovely and really make you feel very welcome and look after you stunningly well. The food is 5*, the drinks (aperitifs, wine, digestifs) are 5*. Most days we had a glass or two of champagne. For the "uninjured" that champagne was often drunk in the hot tub. The staff are really good and very helpful. They drop you off at the ski slopes and collect you at the end of the day so no walking or bussing is needed. The bedrooms are also 5*, beautifully finished and tastefully decorated. I can honestly say that it would be incredibly difficult to find anything better in the alps at any price. Finally if you end up having to stay in the chalet there's a big TV withe Netflix available - I made use of that whilst the others were out skiing.

Inside the traditional French farmhouse exterior, Tom and Alex have created a truly exceptional chalet which is the epitome of effortless luxury. From the beautifully appointed bedrooms to the cosy living room and stunning double height dining room all details have been thought of to ensure that guests truly feel like this is a home from home.
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms by the fabulous team and nothing was ever too much trouble. The catering was amazing with Chef Ben consistently delivering delicious dishes throughout the week which would not have been out of place on the menu of any high-end restaurant.
We were lucky enough to welcome in the New Year in the chalet and the team truly delivered on their promise of the best country house party in the Alps.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday we look forward to hopefully returning soon.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a Ladies Trip to the charming Chalet Fourmilière. We were very well looked after by Ali, Tom and their Team. Very tasty and plenty food and drinks were served by a very attentive team who are interested in their guests. The chalet has a lovely range of rooms with a real attention to detail. Being dropped off at a variety of places meant that we could all ski where we wanted to. Morzine/Avoriaz have an extensive range of great lunch venues so we truly had a memorable time all organised by Ali. Thank you xxx We will be back!

We stayed at Chalet Fourmiliere for the last week of March. Our group was three families all with children aged between 4 and 9. We had the most wonderful time, the chalet is well set out, extremely spacious and luxurious. Having a driver makes getting to the slopes stress free and Tom the owner helped us on several mornings too. Nothing is too much trouble, the team made us feel utterly pampered. We had fantastic food courtesy of their extremely talented chef Ben and the drinks are the best quality; premium spirits, champagne and a really lovely selection of wine. Alex and Tom have a clear vision of what they want to deliver to guests; a home from home luxury experience in the mountains where everyone can relax - they certainly achieved it last week. We will be back!!

Absolutely amazing chalet! We had a great time at Chalet Fourmiliere - and the chalet and all the hosts really added to the whole experience and made it such a great trip. They really have thought of everything for you, whether it be getting your ski's delivered, to dropping you off the slopes, to recovering from a hard day in the hot tub with a bell to call for drinks - they have it all covered! Food was brilliant and to very high standard, the bar fully stocked with everything you could want, and the chalet itself is just beautiful - so many nice places to sit and relax and have fun.
Highly Highly recommend.
