Detailed Reviews
Perfect Ski Hotel in Morzine.
We have just returned from a week holiday at La Clef des Champs, and it is without doubt one of the best ski hotels we have stayed at.
The location next to the slopes, with a very quiet button lift to give you one minute access to the main Pleney lift, made life very easy in the morning. Skiing back was all the way to the door, really easy!
The food was exceptional every night, our allergies were catered for beautifully and we couldn’t fault the breakfasts for variety.
The bar area was beautiful, and felt both sophisticated and relaxing, perfect for a ski hotel of this quality.
The Staff deserve a special mention. They were really superb, nothing was too much trouble and made our week really enjoyable.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough on all counts, and we’ve been skiing for twenty five years. We will definitely return. A real Gem in the Alps.

The hotel staff made the stay that much more pleasant, really lovely people and always had a smile on their face.
The rooms were immaculate and cleaned every day. The shower was powerful, lovely and hot and also very clean.
We slept like a log the whole week we were there (no noise at all) and the beds were so comfortable and cosy! Even though my sister has issues with sleeping and falling asleep she admitted she’s probably had the best sleep of her life while we’ve been there.
The sitting area with all the cosy chairs is probably my favourite place in the world to date with how comfortable and cosy it was, especially once that open fire got going 😍 (it was also kept topped up with logs all afternoon/night and didn’t ever go out while I was reading my kindle and drinking wine in a comfy chair)
The red wine was dangerously good.
The food was also great. Breakfast was self serve and really hit the mark with all the options. For me it consisted of scrambled eggs (beautifully done) ,cold hams, nice bread with spready cheese, yoghurts, self serve boiled eggs, fresh fruit pots, cereal, orange juice, apple juice and of course tea (this is only what I ate, was a lot more stuff too) my sister was best friends with the coffee machine of course to which she says was lovely. 8/10 for breakfast
We also tried the evening meal (4 courses) for two nights and it was really nicely done. Meat (lamb) was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The chicken was just mouth watering. veg always crisp, fresh and with a small crunch. The sweet potato purée was god tier 🤤. soups were very tasty (mushroom was absolutely banging 👌) and cheeses really nice. The desserts were the star for us though 🤌🏼🤌🏼 9/10 (was an 8 but that one chicken dish made my evening)
Good value for money and very convenient to eat downstairs if you’re totally energy drained like we were.
The large downstairs heated jacuzzi and steam room really helped with the aches and pains.
Outdoor heated pool was also nice to work off the knots.
Hotel vibe was very relaxed and chilled. Great place to unwind and drop your head after a jam packed day ⛷🏔
All in all fantastic trip and we will most definitely be returning.
Overall SOLID 10/10 ❤️

Third visit to this hotel for a skiing holiday with friends. Another fantastic stay, great food, wine and spirits. Very comfortable rooms, cleaned every day. Great welcome from the Leblanc family and their staff. Ideally located at the foot of the slopes, with lift access just outside the front door.
Great spa and swimming pool. hotel has its own private parking if travelling by car. Highly recommended, if you make your own travel arrangements, you can book direct with the hotel and save a significant amount of money over tour operator prices. I can't wait to return next year.

A very nicely decorated, warm and cosy hotel with an excellent restaurant. Our complements to the Chef and the Staff members. Relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service. Turkish bath in the Spa area was very much appreciated after cold winter days. Very pleasant Bar area with a great selection of cocktails, teas, soft drinks and small snacks. Over all, delated!

We absolutely loved La Clefs des Champs and are already planning a trip back. The food is faultless, the staff are so friendly, the bar area is fab, the rooms are so comfortable and the spa is great. Couldn’t recommend it more.
The main ski lift is so easily accessible and when they say ski in ski out, they really mean it.
The high street of Morzine is a short walk away and Avoriaz is a quick bus trip away (the bus stop being right outside the hotel).
An extra big thank you to Jeremy who was so kind and helpful when I injured myself, even driving us to the hospital to save us walking.
5 stars all round.

A lovely family run hotel where we were made immediately welcome and comfortable. We had driven and hotel has a large private car park. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and our room was very warm and cosy, we slept so well. Everyone very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing in the spa area, steam room probably best we've been in. Access to skiing a little compromised due to poor snow so couldn't ski directly out or back to hotel, but ski bus stop is just across the road so used this instead. We would definitely recommend Le Clef des Champs and intend to return.

We are currently staying at this excellent hotel, the family that run it are so friendly and welcoming! We ate in the restaurant several times and every course was delicious, the waiting staff were very accommodating of our very limited french, a real highlight was the Sunday night dessert ‘buffet’. The pool was excellent and what a backdrop to sit and watch the kids playing in the pool with the alps in the background! Our teenage son particularly enjoyed having the pool table and i enjoyed the beautiful bar/longe area, it was both vibrant and relaxing with a wonderful ambience no matter the time of day …lots of board games available too! We definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning!

+1
Well-situated, with friendly and efficient owners and team, this hotel leaves nothing to be desired. From the moment we arrived until the day of our departure, we enjoyed good food, courtesy and warm hospitality. One of us has dietary requirements and this had been noted. For every dinner, substitutions were made for any unsuitable items, none of them less delicious nor less carefully prepared and presented than what was on the main menu. There is a small swimming pool and spa for guests to enjoy. The relaxed ambience of this hotel belies the hard work that goes in to making it such a welcoming and comfortable place.

Hotel is in a great location just outside the noise of the town but only a short walk away. Ski in, ski out is just about possible late in the season. The evening meals are incredible, and some of the best food I’ve had on a ski trip. Breakfast is also good with lots of choice. The jacuzzi is large, but could do with being warmer and more jets. Steam room was lovely. The outdoor pool was disappointing so I only used it once. The bar and lounge area is gorgeous with great cocktails and speedy service. The rest of the hotel including the rooms could do with a revamp. There were 2 tiny wardrobes and no drawers so we had to keep stuff in our suitcase. All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming with the exception of one of the cleaners who was downright rude and didn’t do a great job of cleaning the room.
Despite the above, it was a pleasant stay

Beautiful family run hotel in the alps! Located a short walk into Morzine town but far enough away to be very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful lounge and bar area, very cozy, welcoming chalet atmosphere!! Rooms very clean and very comfortable beds! And stunning hot and powerful shower which is very welcome after a day skiing. There is also a small spa with jacuzzi, steam room and an outdoor heated pool! This hotel has a very special personal touch as it is family run by Slyvie, Pierre & Jérémy (and their lovely dog Ocatane always with a waggy tail and welcome). Already planning out trip back in July for TDF. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed and will want to come back! :)
