Chilly Powder is a hotel but with the personal touches of a chalet. We have been operating ski chalet holidays of excellence since 1995. The genuine ski to the door location of our 3 luxury catered chalets with unrivalled in-house childcare facilities sets us apart from other ski chalets in Morzine. The pistes from Morzine Avoriaz descend straight into the garden and the main cable car opposite the chalet takes you to the heart of the Morzine Avoriaz skiing with the best access to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. There are well over a hundred catered chalets in Morzine but only a handful can boast ski to the door locations. With all en-suite bedrooms, outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and in-house childcare in our crèche, the chalet is absolutely unique in Morzine for small or large groups or families with children or babies. The truly excellent cuisine, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere of the chalet make it the perfect holiday destination and for our many returning guests it is considered a real home from home.

We stayed here with 2 children for 10 days over the summer holidays. It is a great location for all sorts of local adventure activities and the staff are extremely helpful in advising and booking activities. It's a nice communal dining experience and you'll definitely get to know the other guests well.
We really liked this place and would love to go back one day.
The only two small things I would say are some rooms are quite small, and the jacuzzi could be larger.

I spent a lovely 5 days here with my daughter in January. They have really thought of everything here. The room had everything we needed, it was slightly small but there was plenty of communal space. The upstairs lounge is cosy & for adults only & there is the larger social space downstairs. All the staff were really friendly & helpful. The other guests were also very friendly. The breakfast, afternoon tea & evening meal were all very nice, there was plenty of food (& wine with the dinner) & they seemed to cater for all dietary requirements. We loved the hot tub, especially as we could enjoy prosecco from the bar & music from the outdoor speakers whilst we were in the hot tub. Transfers & lift pass were all organised for us, recommendations were made for ski hire (who delivered & fitted at the chalet) & for ski lessons. There was also full provision for children if needed.
We skied in Avoriaz as the cable car is very close to the chalet. We only bought the local area ski pass as there was plenty there for us as beginners. You can ski right up to the chalet, either down the piste from Avoriaz or from the cable car. There are a couple of restaurants locally or you can get the bus/taxi into Morzine or the cable car up to Avoriaz which runs until late on Friday & Saturday nights.

Another visit and another fab holiday.
We (mixed adult party) visited in August for an active/outdoor holiday and rented the lovey Chalet Des Amis on a self-catered basis.
We also joined a few evening meals at the ‘Main’ chalet too and the food was fantastic and special dietary requirements were well taken care of.
Chalet des Amis is great with 3 x ‘good size’ bedrooms, it’s own terrace and own hot tub.
We hiked a couple of great walks direct from the Chalet back garden and also hiked in Les Gets too.
We also used the outdoor swimming pool in town which is really special.
Chilly Powder helped us get discounted ‘multi-passes’ which included the use of the Chair lifts, gondolas and swimming pool in town.
We visited for a week and came away wishing we had a 2nd week booked as there is so much to do in the area.
Special mention to Nick and Cosmin who took great care of us.
Highlight of the holiday was a walking trip from the Chalet using the gondola and chair lifts to reach the French/Swiss border at the Pointe du Mossette.
Having a car in the summer is recommended but we also used the free local buses that run from town up to the chalet every hour in the summer time.
Everything seemed very Covid safe and the French business in town were using the French Covid App which also gave us reassurance.
Thanks again Chilly Powder. I’m sure we will be back again this winter.

My partner and I stayed at Chilly Powder for 3 nights to attend the wedding of some friends. Everything about our stay was outstanding, the hotel itself was second to none and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever met (I've done a fair bit of travelling). I have a disability and stayed in the 'Music Room' it was ideal for me as a wheelchair user and I had full access to all facilities. Chilly Powder laid on a fantastic reception for the married couple and nothing was too much trouble from the get-go for them.
I would absolutely recommend Chilly Powder to everyone, great location, great food, great staff and we'll be going back for sure sometime this winter for a ski trip.

All a bit of a disappointment.
This is a big chalet with its business set up for families with small children, the creche facilities were I think very good.
Ski access is excellent and the boot room and ski storage works well. Morzine is a bus ride away.
The admin to arrange our stay was good.
The hotel does not live up to its web site billing. Its all rather weary, not especially clean and I think hygene standards are simply not good enough. The room was very small, the bed has seen better days and the shower room in need of full refurb. My room looked into a courtyard which was floodlit at night and lit up my room so its no good if you like a dark room at night, and I do, so that wasn't ideal.
Evening meal is hearty rather than fine dining and the breakfast all perfectly good if a little uninspiring.
The senior staff were always on hand and both friendly and efficient. The junior staff are I guess seasonaires and probably rightly are more interested in skiing than the real job at hand, having said this they too were always helpful and friendly.
When this chalet was developed originally I am sure it was really excellent. Quite old press cuttings on display say so. Now though its tired and a bit worn out. A serious closure and refurbishment is needed to get me to return and to justify the price structure. Two weeks earlier I stayed in Chatel in a much nicer Chalet at a significantly lower price.
Could do better I think.

We stayed here for a weeks break as part of our honeymoon. The food was exceptional with incredible wine that just felt like it was on tap. As good as it was I had to decline drinking too much in order for us to have a good day snowboarding and what a place it is to snowboard. The main bubble is a 5 minute walk away and from there would take 30 minutes to get over into Switzerland. The fact that you can snowboard down from the top of the mountain all the way to back garden is great. The staff were super friendly and always there to help with any questions you may have. We don't have kids but the other families that were staying did and I could see not only how great the nannies were with them but all the staff were always on the ball.

Wednesday was the staffs day off which gave us a great incentive to explore the main town of Morzine, the manager booked us an excellent restaurant and provided us with ample taxi numbers for our journey back (I would highly recommend using a taxi service!)

Overall a truly beautiful place to spend a week be that in the Chalet or around the ski area. I cannot wait to go back!

We stayed at Chilly Powder during the summer season in August 2022. We had the Provence room on the ground floor which opened out onto the patio area which was perfect on sunny days. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly providing great information on what to do and how to get around Morzine and the wider area. The food cooked by the chef and kitchen team was served communally (Adults only most nights) with plenty of cheese and local wine. Each night started with an appetiser with a drink from the on-site mini-pub, followed by three courses, and a variety of cheese, All the dishes were fantastic, and other guests with dietary requirements were catered for.

The team helped us book a meal in the town, as well as provided suggestions for places to eat out and visit during the day. They also organised our Multipass, which was vital for our trip.

We headed to Chilly Powder for the summer experience this summer. Every moment spent in the hotel was perfect for every reason. The staff are composed of the most friendly and professional people who will make your stay so enjoyable. From the food, to the knowledge of the local area, to the best running routes - there's nothing they can't provide for you. They cater very well for dietary requirements - gluten free options were available the whole stay. The building itself is exquisite, as are the grounds it's sat on. It truly felt like a second home and a place we did not want to leave. Cannot wait to return and in winter too.

Chilly Powder's Au Coin Du Feu is a lovely, convivial, and perfectly placed hotel right at the foot Avoriaz and 2 mins walk from the main lift. The welcome was great, even at the tail end of the season. The food was a huge highlight - everyone ate together around long communal tables and each evening there was a set menu created by the chef and his team, paired with lovely wine. It was what we all looked forward to as we burned calories skiing all day! Our twin room was comfy and I loved that the balcony looked up to the mountain. Also - key point for me - even though there were families and we were two single women, the hotel has such good facilities for kids (including an earlier dinner time) that you didn't feel like you stuck out amidst loud and noisy family holidays, but that all the adults got a chance to genuinely relax and chat whilst the kids were taken care of and happy.

We were lucky enough to squeeze in a ski and snowboard holiday for the opening week of the season with a group of friends.
We stayed at Chalet Plan Des Rochers and were very well looked after by Sky, Zoe and Crystal.
Food was fantastic, well done Bruce the Head Chef.
Our group really enjoyed having use of the sauna and the hot tub at Chalet Plan Des Rochers.
Being able to ski back to the Chalet was also fab.
We have enjoyed multiple trips to Chilly Powder and it’s location close to the Prodains telecabin and pistes is brilliant.
Nick and Cosmin lead the team really well and it was also lovley to see the owners Paul and Francesca who made us feel very welcome.
Thanks again for a great trip.
