Detailed Reviews
I spent a long weekend at the Alpen Roc and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is clean
and nicely decked out all be it the room was small but I was on my own so didn't matter too much and that aside it had everything I needed with the plus factor of a nice clean bathroom and a powerful and hot hot shower
Other facilities include a swimming pool and jacuzzi which I used and enjoyed. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee good but what I liked most about the hotel was the fact that a short 5 minute walk from main ski lift but quiet enough away from the main strip
The gentleman Christophe who owns/runs the hotel could not do enough for me, a real lovely chap and the restaurant serves good quality food in the evening.
An enjoyable stay.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Alpen Roc. We were part of a bigger group (four families in total) and we all thought the hotel was great. Alpen Roc is well situated - a 5-10 min walk to the ski hire shop and Pleney lift and in a peaceful part of town. The manager and staff were all very helpful and friendly and understanding when it came to the (often very noisy!) children at mealtimes.
The family room we had (Room 1) was great as the children had a separate room off ours and it was situated right by the reception and restaurant meaning we could put them to bed and not worry.
The food surpassed our expectation - all really delicious. We all enjoyed the the pool and jacuzzi at the end of each day.
Not a big fan of the long pillow style but that's about the only criticism I can think of!

We stayed as a group of 15 with all different bed configurations to please our party. The hotel team were extremely accomodating and friendly. A quiet spot not far from lift access, bars & restaurants of Morzine.Warned Boot and ski room - although no ski racks, but skis can be accomodated with no issue. The food was excellent with a small bar.

Stayed half board for long weekend at the fab 3* hotel. Just a few minutes from ski hire shop (which if booked thro hotel gets a discount)/ super Morzine Gondola to Avoriaz Porte du Soleil area & ski train to Pleney lift if skiing Morzine/Les Gets area. Only 5 mins walk into town. Amazing dinners every night, comfy beds and clean rooms & friendly owners and staff. Fab transfer service by the owner to/from airport. Book direct with hotel for best half board rates - very good at replying to emails.

Had a great stay at Hotel Alpen Roc with my 2 sons for a three night skiing/boarding trip.
Hotel was ideal for us, good size room, 3 single beds and bunk beds if we needed.
Hotel did airport transfers which worked fine and were reasonably priced.
We did half board, food was amazing, and great value which again suited us. Breakfast had good selection of hot and cold food and set us up for the day.
The service in the hotel from everyone was friendly and helpful, and we were able to leave our bags on the first day, get changed, get lift passes at reception and hit the slopes for an afternoon before our room was ready.
Would definitely go go back.
Merci bien

I booked this hotel for myself and 11 other friends on a ski and snowboard trip and wasn't dissapointed. The hotel is very clean, the rooms modern and spacious. Evening meals were a real treat - very good food and always plenty of options including lovely fish dishes. The owner Christoph was friendly and helpful when answering our many questions and obtaining lift passes for us at a discount. If his wife would occasionally smile when dealing with customers my review would be 5 stars!

I have been lucky enough to have stayed in about 45 ski resorts and in a former career part of my job was to inspect hotels in ski resorts to judge their standard. I have therefore seen numerous different hotels and so this review will be based on a comparison of what is available.
The exterior of the hotel is tired. Part of the interior has been refurbished and part of it has been left and those parts don't quite fit together. My room had been redecorated but it had been done poorly as the finish was not good at all. The bathroom had not been redecorated. All the doors had been re-covered with a wooden finish on one side only presumably to spruce them up a bit but mixing new with old is not a good idea and in any case this had been done poorly. The room was a reasonable size but there were no drawers. One of the curtain tie backs had broken but was not repaired. A light bulb wasn't working and I reported it twice to the owners but it was not replaced in two weeks. My sheets were not changed in two weeks. Hotel doors should have closing mechanisms fitted so they close quietly, every door in this hotel, including the front door slammed itself shut. There was a bin in the bathroom but not the bedroom. The water in the shower had on several occasions a tendency to go very hot and/or very cold; I would be concerned about a child or an elderly person being in the shower when it suddenly went hot because it was very hot indeed. The internet in the hotel was very very inconsistent: I told the owner and he said it was due to being in the mountains but when I tried it in other places in Morzine it was fine. Every evening about 6pm the owner's young children would shout and sometimes scream in the corridor so if you fancy a nap before dinner then forget it. The TV in the room could not pick up Eurosport nor Morzine TV which would have been useful for the weather forecast. Many times the reception was vacant so if you needed to ask anything you often had to wait. In the dining room I was moved to a different table on 6 occasions in 2 weeks. The restaurant also serves people from outside the hotel and often they come in fairly large groups so if you are hoping for a quiet dinner, forget it. There was piped music in the restaurant which was often annoying as it would be competing with the sound of the TV in the bar area. I have to say the food was very nice although the bread would change from fresh and really nice one night to dry and a bit stale the next night. The ski and boot room was not really built for purpose as part of it was in a sort of corridor and the other part was in what I think might be a crèche in the summer. There are no boots dryers in the boot room just a small heater. I fail to understand why in a hotel catering for skiers so little regard is given to the ski and boot room e.g. this area was not cleaned once in the 2 weeks I was there exampled by the fact that someone had left a half eaten croissant on the shelf there and this was there for the whole of the 2 weeks.
One member of staff who deserves a special mention is Anka one of the waitresses as she was an absolute delight and one of the best waitresses/waiters I have ever encountered.
This hotel is not terrible, but please be assured that there are numerous hotels much better than this and many of them are truly excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel and I will not be staying their again.

Great place to stay. Very central in Mozine, without being too near the noisier sections. A short walk to the centre and the gondolas. Sufficient off-street parking. Clean room (though the balcony was a little bit noisy from other balconies) and great restaurant. The half-board option is excellent value, allowing to choose from the a la carte menu for each course. I'd strongly recommend this place.

Owners and staff very pleasant and helpful. Owner collected us from Geneva Airport at a reasonable cost Also arranged lift passes and discounted ski hire. Rooms are small like most ski hotels but are warm , clean and well serviced. We didn’t feel the selection for breakfast was as good as it could be. Dinners were ok but certainly not as good as in previous years. Hotel is in excellent location for the slopes
