We have been skiing the Portes Du Soleil area for years and have to say that the best places we have stayed were both Riders Refuge Chalets. Of the two we have stayed in Chalet Deffert has to be the best one, excellent location for lifts, bars and restaurants. The hosts, Greg sand Suz were great as well, couldnt do...

Chalet Deffert was a great place to spend a week of skiing. Seconds from the Pleney lift, minutes from the Super Morzine bubble. Perhaps a little close to the night time action for some but it depends what you want! Greg and Suze were brilliant hosts - always smiling and friendly, delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and very helpful information. The...

Honestly couldn't find a better place to stay in Morzine! Chalet is in a perfect location, about a minute walk to the pleney lift, and next the the train stop to get down to the super morzine or its a 5 minute walk. Chalet was amazing, very comfortable and clean. Meals were fantastic, and Suz & Greg were brilliant. Airport...

Great location, the chalet is literally 2 mins from the Penny Lift. Its a clean and comfortable chalet spread over 3 floors. Greg & Suz were amazing chalet hosts, friendly and they couldnt do enough for you. The food they served up was delicious as was the fresh baked cakes every afternoon coming in from the piste. They created a very...

The first thing to note about Chalet Deffert is how close it is to the Pleney lifts which serve the Morzine pistes, including those leading over into Les Gets. Just look at either the TripAdvisor photo or the snowy equivalent on the Riders Refuge website and the majority if the right of the picture is dominated by the nearest slopes...

As a group of 12 friends we stayed at Chalet Deffert in Jan 2013, the location is excellent with easy access to the ski lifts, The food in the chalet that is prepared and served by Suz & Greg is first class, they are perfect hosts and make you very welcome, I have no hesitation in recommending this Chalet to...

As a group of 3 families (6 adults, 5 children) we spent a truly wonderful and unforgettable week from 9 to 16 February 2013 at Riders Refuge Chalet Deffert in Morzine. It’s location is just superb, right in the centre of this friendly holiday place and only very short walks away from the Pleney bubble lift, the ESF (Ecole français...

Three families enjoyed a fabulous break a Chalet Deffert, a chilled company with high standards that made our first ski break with the wee ones, a joy! The atmosphere, the food prepared by Suz and Greg was 5* with the wine flowing. Morzine is a beautiful resort and having done a fair bit of skiing I have never come across...

Chalet Deffert, what can I say, its position is perfect, one minute walk to the slopes and in the centre of Morzine, so very handy for a wander into town between afternoon tea and your evening meal. The ski hire shop is only a few doors down the road and you can store your gear in the chalet in the...

I think other than the location, what really made my stay was how friendly Greg and Suse were and how amazing their cooking was. I found it hard to just sit back and let them do everything but they insisted on catering to my needs! Simply fantastic.
