I booked a comfort Twin Room, excluding breakfast for 3 nights over the internet. Arriving by train around lunch time, there were no taxis at the station and the station master unsuccessfully tried to rouse one, so we walked to Le Pavillon St Martin. Its a bit of a hike but it is flat and there are pedestrian footways. Just... More

We stayed overnight on a touring holiday with friends. We booked a twin, which was tastefully furnished and overlooked the charming town square and ancient belfry church; for the same price, our friends received a double room which overlooked goodness only knows what, furnished in distressed 1970's style with walls covered in strips of old pallet painted white and with... Located in a very small square and slight problem locating as a pedestrian area! As others say little quirky and rooms pleasant. We opted for front room overlooking square ...little noisy when market set up next morning but isn't that part of being in France. Satisfactory breakfast with good choice. Plenty of restaurants around moderately priced. Beware of parking in... More

We stayed here for two nights before departing on a walking tour. The hotel is a lovely old building which is very tastefully decorated in the french style. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It's located right in the centre of the old part of Souillac and walking distance to restaurants and sights.

It's a B&B, but effectively it's a 3 star hotel in an excellent location that just happens not to serve lunch or dinner -- but there is a good restaurant and a good brasserie in the same square and other good restaurants within walking distance. We had Room 12, which was excellent and overlooked the square. One of us was... More

A lovely old house in a historic old town near a lot of things to see and do and plenty of good places to eat within a short walk. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The lift was a bonus for those of us whose mountaineering days are long gone. The trip was a birthday treat and a treat... More

This hotel is just perfect - set right in the middle of the old part of Souillac in a stunning building with incredibly friendly staff, comfortable rooms and incredibly cheap. We have stayed here a number of times and have always loved it - our family room looked onto the square and the abbey ruins and the lovely little restaurant... More

I stayed at this hotel during a cycling tour around this area of France. This was my favourite hotel of the holiday! The hotel is in an old French house which has been totally transformed, although remains in keeping with the old building. The bedroom and bathroom were a great size and beautifully furnished. There was a large bath, a... More

Having had a disaster with our booked hotel, the grand was full and suggested this hotel. Sadly they were also full. However, the owner went way above and beyond to help us find a suitable hotel for our long awaited stay on the Dordogne. After many phone calls, the lady found is beautiful places out of the town. Without her... More

Just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful B & B, it is the best I have ever stayed in during over 50 years of traveling in France. The bedroom and bathroom although not hugh are clean and beautiful furnished each in an individual style many with glorious old highly polished classical french furniture. It has a lift... More
