We had the most amazing weekend, we stayed in the self catering cottage on the b&b option and it was perfect. The accommodation was very spacious and beautiful, we really felt at home. Breakfast was fabulous and plentiful. It’s a fantastic base to see the area, walk around the nature reverse and hill top fort are great. Welshpool is a very short drive away with lots to see and do. I would highly recommend staying here and we are very likely to be back in the future.
You could certainly not wish for any better in any way. The welcome was warm and sincere, the facilites are excellent and the breakfast is the best that you could wish for. Thoroughly recommended. It is located in a small village and the only down side is Tomtom's inabilty to locate the post code!
Fully agree with all the other reviews on here, the place was lovely. I loved having fresh milk and a tin of tea bags so that you could have more than one cup of tea. The breakfast was delicious, we appreciated the good quality meat in the fry up, pots of jam and thick toast. Thank you for being so welcoming - especially the offers to book a taxi etc. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to return.
Really comfortable stay. Eve was very welcoming and greeted us on the drive way on arrival. I had emailed ahead a few days before our stay to enquire if we could check in or have access to the room to the room early, as we needed a quick turn around before heading off to a wedding a few miles down the road. Eve was very accommodating and already had our room made up when we arrived mid morning, which was greatly appreciated. The double room was comfortable and quite spacious. Breakfast in the morning was also very good, with a good selection of options including a full English breakfast and plentiful portions. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed at the Vine House on the first night of our week-long tour of Wales. Eve made us feel incredibly welcome, nothing was too much for her and she even booked in to the local pub for us as she warned us it would get busy on Saturday night. The room was immaculate and the bed incredibly comfortable. The speciality teas and coffees provided were exquisite and the fresh milk was a lovely touch! The bathroom was of a decent size, with just a shower but that didn’t bother us as we were only staying the one night. Breakfast the next morning was great, a lovely range of choice from a full cooked breakfast (or parts thereof), omelettes, Eggs Benedict(24 hours’ notice needed) and a selection of fruit, yoghurt and cereals too. We elected for a selection of the cooked breakfast items. The sausages and bacon were cooked to perfection as were the eggs and the option of white or brown toast was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we were in the area! All the best, Esther and Nick.…
