We booked a room in the Vicarage for an overnight stay. Building is a few minutes walk from the pub. Lovely room with yummy toiletries and a big bathroom. Comfy bed and a hospitality tray with home made brownies and fresh milk. There is also a large garden and a sitting area for guests. Staff were friendly and helpful and...

Lovely food, had scallops to start delicious, followed by fillet steak, cooked to perfection. Don't normally have dessert but finished meal off with blueberry cheesecake, very mouth watering. Staff pleasant and very accommodating nothing too much trouble. Home made olive bread superb didn't stay over just visited for a meal

I visited this restaurant with 14 friends. We congregate annually for a golf tournament and this was the pre championship meal. The venue makes play of its Michelin star status which left me wondering would it match up to its reputation. Well it did and some. The fixed menu they put on especially for us was magnificent and varied and...

We had an early dinner here and we were veryimpressed. We ordered drinks on arrival and sat in the bar with some pre dinner nibbles. Great selection of gins, included a delicious citrus flavoured one. Served by a very welcoming member of staff. The nibbles included a bag of home made crisps with a basalmic vinegar dip. Tasty and good...

The website looks good but the reality was somewhat different. We found the food disappointing for the price. Staff were not really interested customers. The restaurant lacked atmosphere. It is not a place we will be returning to.

The Stagg Inn is in a beautiful location and has a lovely garden, unfortunately that is where our pleasant experience ends. Once we enter the premises the lady behind the bar, whom I believe to be the owner fails to offer a warm welcome, and is to be blunt exceedingly rude. We made a hasty exit and will not be...

Having eaten here before and a very good experience, we where looking forward to lunch today. A beautiful drive over from South Worcestershire turned out to be the highlight of the day! Scallops and Monkfish to start well cooked, but TOO much salt! Main course, we both choose the Beef fillet, again well cooked as ordered. Mine was rather chewy...

we had a really nice room at the Old Vicarage, a very very comfortable bed - just as well I didn't have to get up early! Very nicely kept. Lovely walks around there, and only 5 minutes up hill to the restaurant.

There must be times when you walk into a place and think that you are in food heaven, well tonight it was our turn to feel that overwhelming surge of pleasure; the Stagg Inn surpassed even the Michelin star presumptions that you make when selecting the venue for a special feast based upon reputation. Feast it was; of quaffable wine,...
