When arriving to Torcasle House we first had to find our way on a private road which was really exciting as there was a private tunnel going under the Caledonian Canal which provided a interesting, unique addition to our travels! The owners were very friendly and the cooked breakfast was delicious with extra additions such as fruit and cereal to... More

This was the second stop on our honeymoon, and after an interesting trip through the tunnel to find it (we called it the Batcave!) we arrived. The family and the labradors were so welcoming, and our room was incredible, large and spacious with lots of homey touches. Patchwork quilts and local soaps were just a few of the thoughtful things... More

Excellent host, lovely rooms. Owners own a lot of land whereabouts, including the ruins of a medieval castle and lots of nice woodland walks, as canal and a beach! Also, entrance into it is through a tunnel. They have three dogs, very friendly (in case you are allergic) and plenty of parking. Excellent place to stay if you want to... More

We stayed in the area to climb Ben Nevis and really enjoyed our stay at Torcastle the drive under the Caledonian canal was the most interesting approach to a B&B in some time. The hosts are very warm & friendly and the room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast in the morning set us up nicely for our hike. Definitely... More

We were lucky enough to find Torcastle through a recommendation from a neighbouring B and B and booked 2 rooms for a weekend stay. We were greeted by the owner and her family and shown to immaculate en suite rooms with access to a lounge featuring views of the mountains when the clouds disappeared!! The best breakfast I've ever had... More

Fort William is, one whole, a fairly drab town and if it wasn't for the amazing walking around it there would be no reason to visit. However, staying at Torcastle House B&B was a little piece of bliss outside of the concrete. You go through a tunnel and pop out onto an island to a warm welcome, a greeting from... More

Everything about Torcastle House was of a high standard - the room clean, comfortable and with everything we needed, and the breakfast was excellent. It's in a beautiful, peaceful location and I had lovely walk in the morning with views of the mountains. The reason for just three stars is that it would have been nice to have been welcomed...
