First, a confession: I generally eat absurdly healthy food, but I love cookies. So any place that gives white chocolate macadamia nut cookies before bedtime is already on my good side. But combine that with a relentlessly pleasant staff; a really nice room; and a truly excellent included breakfast, and they nailed my recommendation. Just so someone doesn't get the...

Stayed one night and enjoyed a complimentary wine in the evening, and a simple, but delicious breakfast in the a.m. (and the bedtime cookies at night!).The staff was very welcoming and helpful (we had a small problem of our own making, and the late night staff was wonderful in helping sort it out). The inn is beautiful and welcoming, especially...

Wonderful stay in this small family owned Inn in a rural wine country setting with an outstanding restaurant. Chef owner Budi Kazali and his wife are hands on owners and their attention to detail is evident everywhere. The staff is professional, helpful and very courteous. Rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. Common areas are attractive and well decorated in country...

We stayed here on a groupon for midweek. The staff is very pleasant. The location is great but the facility itself is tired and needs upkeep. There was a large hole in bed skirt and the decorative pillows were coming apart. The room was clean but it was a bit awkward having the sink cabinet in the bedroom and not...

We are on our honeymoon and as part of our west coast travels we pre booked this based on reviews. We were not disappointed: quiet, great attentive staff who went out of their way to arrange a bike tour, taxi, dinner and tips on what to see in the area. Lovely appointed rooms, great happy hour (local wines, cheese &...

For my husband's birthday I took him to Ballard/Los Olivos as a surprise to celebrate. I was fortunate to get a two-night reservation for the room I wanted as well (Cynthia's Room). What a wonderful, beautiful place! So relaxing and an awesome staff. We enjoyed wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres each late afternoon and a full breakfast cooked to order...

This is one if the nicest places We have ever stayed. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending it. It was all perfect - rooms, service, food, wine o'clock, location nothing to fault - just wonderful.

We have stay at B&Bs/boutique hotels in various locations. The Ballard Inn is one of the best we have had to pleasure to be at. The Inn is lovely on a quiet street in Ballard. The staff most friendly and helpful and the inn itself, a very relaxed and charming atmosphere. We stayed in the Mountain Room and the staff...

I love a good B&B, this only disappointed slightly. We were in the Alamo Pintado room. It was appointed ok in a Victorian style. No tv or phone in the room, but free wifi. The bathroom smelled of mildew and it was the first thing we noticed. This usually comes from either a shower curtain that hasn't been washed or...

Quaint getaway tucked conveniently in the Santa Ynez valley wine country. From the moment we arrived, it was welcoming, charming and relaxing. The wine service in the common are was delightful, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
