Very good food with a varied menu. Staff friendly and helpful. The best access for the disabled is through the courtyard at the rear of the pub. Good selection of ale. I don't know what else to say about the place.

I booked to stay for 2 nights at the Talbot Hotel. On arrival the carpark was good, the pub looked interesting. On entry the bar and lounge area was clean and comfortable. I was taken to my room which was very large and overlooked the back of the pub. All ok so far. Went to see about a meal but...

Booked our room on the Tuesday evening, for Thursday arrival, especially looking forward to the evening meal, as we didn't want to go out. On arrival told no evening meals for the foreseeable future, wouldn't have booked if informed earlier. A bit of fine tuning needed on the breakfast front, staff nice and friendly.

Booked hotel on expedia for one night and it said i could check in between 2-11pm. The evening before our booking we had a phone call to say the pub doesnt open Sunday evenings and we would have to be checked in by 3.30pm. Abit short notice seeing as i booked the room at least two weeks in advance. So...

From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly, The landlady Erica was a great laugh and runs a great team. A good selection of ales from badger and woodhouse. The food was of a very high standard with good vegetarian option, the service from the young lady behind the bar was exceptional from the food being ordered,...

We went for the cider and BBQ Sunday event and it was perfect. A lovely warm welcome in a lovely building. We stayed overnight in the Meadowsweet room which was far better than we were anticipating. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was the nicest, freshest full English that we have ever had. Amazing friendly staff too Highly...

A friendly village pub close to several cycle routs. Yorkshire pudding & gravy on the bar, espresso and a pint of water. The perfect cycling stop? Sunny enclosed courtyard at rear with space for bikes. Lively on a Friday evening too.

It seems like this lovely place isn't getting the business it deserves, which is a real shame, because it deserves far better. I stayed with my other half, who, incidentally, became my fiance later on the day we left, and we both found it to be great. There was some flexibility with rooms - on Valentine's eve, of all nights,...

Having recently moved to the area we stopped for Sunday Lunch a few weeks back and walked in to a half empty/full pub. The surroundings were pleasant clean and tidy. We asked if we could stay for lunch and we were shown to a table and given menu's. The young girl was pleasant and polite. We decided on the Traditional...
