Just had a glorious week in this superb setting. I stayed here with my 15 year old disabled daughter. Holidays are often stressful for us, due to equipment issues, especially with moving and handling. The accommodation itself is not only beautiful, spotlessly clean and homely, but is spacious, with wide doorways and wet rooms , ideally catering for our needs....

John and Ann go out of their way to meet individual needs. if you want a quiet holiday in beautiful cottages with fantastic hospitality then this is...

If you want wheelchair accessible accomodation and fully adaoted wet room in rural Dorset then this is the place for you. Stunning scenery in the area, easy to get to the coast or larger towns and villages and the most accommodating hosts you could wish to meet.

I work in a care home for people with Huntington's disease and one of the residents wanted to go on holiday. This was her first holiday in at least 10 years. The location was perfect for her as its very quiet, the facilities are exactly what was needed. The owners are polite, friendly and go the extra mile to make...

This was top class accommodation, meeting all our needs. Wonderful location - so quiet, and lovely garden to sit and admire the equally lovely views. Hardy cottage was a delight, everything was perfect, something you don't always find when looking for accommodation which is suitable for a wheelchair dependant person. My husband and I will definately be recommending Ellwood Cottages to...

Lovely clean cottage. Welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated. The only problem really, was that we have a Renault Trafic minibus which was a bit big for the country lanes should we meet other vehicles as the cottage is situated in a very rural area.

We stayed in Barnes cottage the last week in July 2015. I am paraplegic and have had difficulty in finding the right accomodation to suit my needs, but look no further. Ann and John have certainly done their homework. The cottage is so spacious and amenities are second to none, Ann also took the trouble to supply the right kind...

We had a really lovely week in Hardy Cottage. The accommodation itself was comfortable and very attractive, with a beautiful garden bordering farmland in the heart of Dorset. My partner uses a wheelchair and is not very strong, and Ann and Keith were extremely helpful and kind in making sure he had all the assistance he needed.

Came across Ellwood Cottages via the internet and so glad we did. My sisters and I were looking for somewhere special to take our Mum on holiday and we found it, thanks to John and Ann, they came up trumps. We stayed in Barnes cottage, it was delightful, every detail had been thought of to make our visit enjoyable including...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ellwood Cottages are in the North Dorset hamlet of Woolland, a short drive away from Blandford Forum in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just a fossil's throw from the Jurassic coastline. The three tastefully furnished self-catering cottages, named after Dorset literary figures, Hardy, Barnes and Blyton, are in a courtyard setting in lovingly restored single storey former farm buildings full of character and charm. Adjacent to the cottages is a heated indoor splash-pool. A large recreation room offers free Wi-Fi, libraries for both children and adults, and a selection of games and toys. There is a therapy room next door where visiting therapists offer ‘pure-pampering’ – and no journey home afterwards! The cottages are fully accessible and all have two bedrooms sleeping three in Hardy, four in Barnes and four adults and two children in Blyton Cottage (single beds in all three cottages).Outside, the landscaped gardens have a seating area for each cottage and the views over farmland are stunning. ... more   less
