Great hotel management and staff. Cold, comfortable rooms and stone tile bathrooms. Free breakfast is wonderful, drinks and dinner are kind of expensive. Two different buildings with full suites or two twin beds. Sit in the shaded hut on the edge of the deserted, black...More
It’s a small hotel. I expected, based on the reviews, a cozy and well maintained place. A boutique place
But there are many negatives. The breakfast is poor. No choices at all except por gallo pinto and eggs. They serve no lunch so you have...More

This place is the perfect get away. The hotel facility is wonderful and the beach is everything you could wish for in relaxation and seclusion. The staff were attentive and very helpful with very question or need. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope...More
We selected Cocomar because it is a short drive from a busy shopping area but remote enough to be very quiet and is steps from the beach. (We weren't really interested in visiting Manual Antonio so the drive wasn't an issue.) We, 2 adults and...More
This was a wonderful resort for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The included breakfast featured gallo pinto, plantains, and fresh fruit juice. The location, just steps from what seemed like a private beach, accommodated romantic evening sunset strolls and early morning contemplation. There are many shops...More

Hi the main highways around CR are fine and well kept up but the smaller dirt roads like the one leading into the hotel is an unpaved dirt road with a few pot holes and rocks. I didnt think they were that bad not any different from dirt roads anyhere else. We rented a small suv it got us around just fine. I would highly recommend renting a gps as it was a life saver for us. We rented our car from enterprise and had no issues with them. It was a 4 cylinder so the get up and go was a little slow. Alot of the parks are off the beaten path so I would consider an suv for sure. Rainmaker park was only about 20 minutes from the hotel and we really enjoyed that buts its a drive up into the rainforest on a dirt road but well worth it. Probably our favorite thing we did while there. Also Mar y sol the resturant up the road from the hotel was just awesome and very well priced. To us the dinners in the hotel seemed a little over priced and not much selection so we ate lunches and dinners out. Hope you have a wonderful time CR is a great place to visit. It was our first time and loved it and we went during the rainy season. Please free to ask any more questions you may have.

Hello Raj, the accomodation and view from the hotel are good. I did not use Spa and did not seen the yoga classes, but do not expect the hotel to be like a 4 star in US. This hotel is more familiar and as the location is a little isolated, you will not find all the facilities as in a chain hotel. You will like to stay there if you want to be isolated from noise and feel nature. have a good trip.
