Had Sunday lunch there to celebrate a friends 70th birthday, on previous visits ( many !!) it has been a warm, cosy restaurant with carpets , curtains, and very efficient staff, on this occasion it was the exact opposite, carpets have been replaced with large floor tiles, the walls are now reminiscent of a pie mash shop ( ie. mock...

If you read my reviews you will see that I am balanced and often offer high praise, sad to say this place is on my door step we were there to celebrate our dear friend gaining British Citizen ship. We had just come from the ceremony at the town hall and had a great morning with the Deputy Mayor of...

Visited for Sunday lunch. Service was very slack and food as not as described. Main courses arrived moments after having been given a bread roll. Two plates were missing items stated on the menu. 2 out of 3 meals were not cooked right. We were offered a choice on our beef and the well done was incredibly pink and the...

We'd biked for the Boxing Day buffet, which the management decided wouldn't work, but hadn't bothered telling anyone, so we were given a menu for a 3 course meal. I ordered a glass of white wine, which wasn't chilled - not a God start from somewhere advertising itself as 'fine dining'. The food was insipid, if you are going to...

When we arrived there were a lot of tables already seated, what we didn't know was that most of them were waiting to get their money back. We had a great time taking mum to Afternoon Tea. Food was lovely and tea never-ending which was lovely on a winter's day. But I am awarding 4 stars purely on the basis of the lovely Kirsty. The management do not seem to have a clue (or care) that the staff (only saw Kirsty trying to hold the fort -...

We used to visit the restaraunt on a regular basis, however since it changed hands it has really gone down hill. The menu was poor and not at all to it's previous standards. The decor looks more like a pie and mash shop with no ambiance at all. One of our party had to send their food back because it...

Had a lovely evening. Staff were attentive and polite. The venue was clean and tidy. The surroundings were beautiful. Would recommend for a weekend get away. Food was amazing. There was an Elvis / Neil diamond tribute who was very entertaining. He interacted with the audience and was very funny.
