We've been here quite a few times, Sunday roast is fabulous! Took my parents here and still impressed! Thoroughly recommend The Peacock and friendly staff, cannot fault this great pub and it's food, always receive a great welcome and great food.

We've eaten at this lovely pub a couple of times. Great food and friendly service - we'll definitely be back. The roasts on a Sunday are fantastic. The pub is full of interesting things and has real character, and a pretty garden if the weather is favourable. Highly recommended.

Went there for Sunday lunch twice. Couldn't fault the food, tasty traditional and rustic british dishes, well executed. However, the front of house - service needs serious improvement. Neither time we were offered the wine list, beers came in the wrong glass every time. The landlady didn't really know what juices were available. Quite a bit of disorganization due to... More

Saw The Peacock as we were out for a Saturday drive about in the area. Pub with charm and character as we walked inside. Nice selection of main entrees on several chalkboards through out the pub. My wife and I settled on lighter meals. Soup of the day (carrot and leek), and Suffolk ham on baguette, with two half-pints of... More

Had an evening meal here and will definately be back. Good selection of food and very good wine list. Food was very tasty and cooked exactally as requested. The location makes this a local pub with regulars. Cannot fault anything about our visit and will be back.

Really comfy beds and beautiful cotton sheets. rooms quite small but great character with absolutely everything you need in them -even down to boxes of tissues and magazines. This is the first b and b I've been to with great lighting (so fed up with dingy lights in bedrooms). Hotel manager was very helpful and friendly. food was great. Our room... More

A very comfortable stay with excellent food at this 14th Century rustic inn. No luck with the Wi-Fi but not surprised as location very rural. Easy access to historic Lavenham where a tasty dinner was had in the Swan Hotel brasserie on a Sunday evening when the Peacock is closed.

If you appreciate excellent and honest country pub dining with freindly attentive service this is the place for you. This traditional country pub in an idyllic location is an absolute gem and delight. A party of 7 of us ate here last week whilst in the area on holiday and would say it was totally faultless. The perfect relaxed end... More

Picturesque, traditional pub in a lovely spot with pleasant staff. The garden on a sunny day is delightful. Two of the fairly new outside chairs and one of the tables were broken, one of which I sat on and so had to change it. Service was prompt and although the food was well presented, we were a little disappointed with... More

We stayed there for a wedding. Lovely room, very friendly service, even offered a cigar! Breakfast was to order and delicious. Even met a celebrity who came into the pub on the Sunday. Idyllic location, only 30 mins from Bury St Edmunds but you wouldn't know it. Highly recommended.
