This hostel was very unique design and make me felt to old Chiangkhan and the room was very comfortable even not too specious and very close to night market and able to walk to 7/11 and to Mekhong river. I recommended for backpacker, solo traveller and with your close friend.
An interesting experience by staying at this traditional wooden compact little room. We have almost occupied all of the first floor's rooms during our 2016 year end expeditions. Clean compact little room with attached tiny bathroom except for the last 2 rooms with shared bathroom. Good location near the night market. Walking distance to the riverside. Good value! Opposite restaurant served great local breakfast and noodle.
Great compact little room, traditional building but fitted out modern. Great experience. Sensational wifi. Aircond. and overhead fan. Unbelievable value, friendly and very helpful staff, free coffee/tea at reception. 2 free bottles of water, then buy at 7/11. Bed not as hard as some Thai beds. Restaurants next door and opposite. Staff took a ride on motorbike to confirm that our AirAsia bus pickup was coming. Slight negatives was a couple of mozzies, and paperthin walls, but I think that these are normal for such buildings in Chiang Khan. Strictly no early checkin, but will mind bags if early. A little street noise (motor bike now and then). Hotel name is a bit confusing, as the literal Thai translates into 'Poo' not 'Poon' -Sawatdii, and the locals call it PooSawat (dropping the dii). AirAsia runs a minivan to and from Chiang Khan twice per day, connecting to their flights. This can be booked directly at their counter at Loei airport, but you can also book a 'through booking' Plane/Bus with AirAsia, which will guarantee you a bus seat.…
Great price and room. Close to night market and provide a bike. Good for backpacker like me and my friend. The restaurant which located opposite the hotel was so good! Such a calm and peaceful place to stay.
