The staffs are the epitome of what makes Chiang Khan special. Laidback, friendly, helpful, and just good humans to be around. They made the trip really special. Would go back. The only slight knock could potentially be the retro style building. It's really old wooden two story shophouse kinda thing. If you're not a fan it might not be the one for you.
My boyfriend and I arrived there at 6am in the morning and even if the check-in was at 1pm, they let us take a shower and immediately feel at ease. Even if the bed was a bit hard, we loved our staying there: the gesthouse is perfectly located in the main street and very charming, Sahaphak has been such a lovely and helpful host, he gave us good ideas and tips for our visits and we shared very good beers and laughs in the evening! Thank you for making us feel that good (specially with the brazilian music you player for me), hope to see you again! Rafaella and Leandro
I stayed here for 2 nights. It was awesome to stay in a warm place. Very close to the walking street and very easy to find meals. The owner is Mr.Dong and he is super kind and friendly. The Sri Chiang Khan 19 is the Soi that this place located, it is next to the temple and you can park your vehicle there and donate some bucks to be parking fee for temple.
I stay here for 2 nights with my husband. Love to stay here. Guesthouse was decorated with so many professtional photos, very nice shot and view. We stay in Deluxe room with balcony and sharing bathroom. Clean sharing bathroom, but solid bed. Location very good, it on walking stree road, u can enjoy for shopping and food stree.
Drove from Nongkhai to Chiang Khan. 10.30am-Upon arrival,we found this place. It was very warm and friendly. But being really excited we had to check out other hotels. We spent the next 2 hours driving around to find most hotels facing the Mekong fully booked, unfriendly or run down. So we came back to Mae nam Mee Kang which greeted us with a warm hug! After comparing the rates of other hotels,Chiang Khan is a little more expensive then other towns.Mae nam mee Kang was the most reasonable. It feels like living in your own house.Toilets are not attached but it doesnt matter. There is about 8 rooms sharing 2 bath and 2 toilets and 3 sinks. Coffee, tea, water is free.Wifi is free. All room is airconditioned. Dong the artistic photographer /owner was really nice.He even played us some indonesian music to welcome us. All rooms are up 2 wooden ladders, really quirky and i like it. The place is made out of teak wood, painted white. So its very nice. I think even the bed is made out of wood cos it was very stiff. Would have been nice to have had 2 pillows. We had the room in the front which had a private door that opens up to the front road.Great place to sip coffee n watch the locals buzz about.A little noisier then the back rooms but it was cooler. Small cafe/reception area, very warm and welcoming. Lovely ,passionately done.My kind of place!…
