This guesthouse is located next to the river. Easily to walk around the area, find sth to eat and relax. The room is clean and nice. Design is suit the area. Service is great. Will definitely come back.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff who work here are very friendly however they do not speak English. If you don't know Thai maybe learn some key phrases before coming. I had a standard room for 600 baht. Room was great, very comfortable and just felt like home. Amazing view of the river from the balcony. Out back is the short walkway along the river with a great sunset. Out the front is walking street night market. The location is great. Free breakfast in the morning which is a traditional isaan egg breakfast. Very good. Stay here if you get the chance, I really enjoyed it
Muiphang is a tiny guest house, 2 mins walk to the famous night shopping street. It offers only 2 rooms with a river view. The best (and the most expensive) room is on the second floor. Each room is named as flower, the best one is Peony or Botan in Thai language. I reviewed the trip advisor to get the name and finally success to book and stay there for 2 nights. The panoramic view from a private balcony is amazing. I enjoy very much the river view, and observe local people along the river-side walk way. Though there are plenty of guest house like this at the waling street, but it is not serene, the river walk way is relative small, and the view the not that nice. I think this guest house is a good choice and I have a pleasant stay and very relax !
That place is really charming , choice of furniture and setting on the riverside . Our small room was really comfortable tasty set , bathroom small but with great hot water , small fridge . Table on the terrace in front of Maekhong river . Have a great walk pass of 2 km a long the river . Free bicycle to use to go around town Nice local breakfast A bit higher price but worth it .
Avoid downstairs room, which surprisingly costs the same as the 2nd floor room. It's basically a trap for tourists who want a river view when the upstairs room is booked. The room's acoustic is not ideal for people who value privacy. Noise from upstairs and people passing by, grabbing bicycles (parked directly in front of the room) is quite a disturbance. You have wide floor-to-ceiling bay windows open to the street - and this is a problem. Other hotel guests will linger there on their bicycles chatting away. You become a showcase for passing tourists. Also wifi signal is a hit or miss. Other than these the hotel is fine, with a standard hospitality. Just a wrong pricing I think.
