If u looking for a peaceful and very nice hotel, this is it....!!!!! This hotel is located at 20 meters from the night market street where u'll find many restaurant, some with see view of the Mekong river and the other side of the Mekong river, the Laos ! You'll love it
Small guesthouse, family run, 8 rooms, clean, good quality build, room size ok, no noise from other rooms (not as in reviews of wood structure guest houses). Toast, jam, Nescafe, tea available for b/f, free. Free parking up the Soi at the Wat no problem, 200m. (The space opposite the GH is owned by other, private parking. Someone didn't like to pay for parking there, what's 60 Baht anyway?)
Hello, we hooked this hotel because of the content of their website. First of all, after parking our Car in front of the hotel, we were obliged to pay 60 bath! An incredible amount for parking ( normally 5 bath) or free! Asking for the breakfast times, w were sended away with wordt " here no Breakfast" At Reservation time, we asked for a river view, as advertised on their site, but on Arrival we got a room with no view at all. Riverview rooms don't exist!!!! Don't believe this website. There are better alternatives @ same or cheaper prices.
A pretty wooden building, the Chiangkhanburi Loei is a guest house, not a hotel. There is a pleasant entrance with a few mats and chairs looking onto the side street where guests can spend time relaxing. The location is great and the best thing going for it. The sleep quality is poor, with thin white curtains allowing the sun in, the room is bathed in very bright day light by 6:00am. The tv is on from early morning in the lobby downstairs with acoustics and lack of sound insulation making it sound as though a tv is on in the bedrooms. No breakfast is served and the options in the restaurants are unfortunately not great. My greatest complaint, however, is safety-related. There is no efficient way to get out in case of fire, the only exit being through a small door locked by a padlock attached ON THE OUTSIDE, WHILE ONE TRIES TO OPEN FROM INSIDE BY TOUCH ONLY, which you have to open small flaps on the door to reach. It would most definitely not succeed even a superficial fire safety inspection. This, in a tightly packed neighborhood of old wooden houses, and without a single fire extinguisher in site, makes this place a deathtrap in case of fire.…
Stayed 4 nights here , was very comfortable. It is just off the walking street in a quiet location. The owners are pleasent. Clean comfortable rooms (all TV station are Thai, no western channels). Free tea&coffee available in the lobby. Breakfast is included , which you can choose from 3 local restaurants , it is essentially a 35baht coupon to use in these restaurants which can be used for noodle soup or a egg pan.
Just walk away 30 Meters to travel walking street market, restaurant and near The Kong River. Big room with bath, soft bed, television and good breakfast (Coupon). Just one bad... bad smell from waterspout it's really very bad smell...
