Nice place to stay in lovely Chiang Khan but hotel is a little expensive for what it is. Location is good at the quiet end of walking street corner of soi 5 near to restaurants and over the road for the banks of the meakong river, room was nice with a balcony, clean, overlooking walking st, I booked the deluxe room which was on the 1st floor with no river view, double wooden doors to the balcony made the room a little noisy at times. Nice comfortable bed, fridge, tv, two bottles of water daily, no safe, room wasn't serviviced daily. Hot shower gave more of a stream of water then a spray, Breakfast was basic. Wifi was superfast, Hotel got busy on weekend with Thai tourists, the staff were helpfull and polite. Great spot to watch the monks early morning alms round, fully recommend getting up before 6am to observe this beautiful alms giving and the Thai people sitting in numbers waiting with there offering..my 3 day booking with agoda cost £142 if I was to visit Chiang Khan again I would not prebook rather just arrive and see what's on offer and maybe get a riverside room with nice views of the meakong exspecilly on weekdays for the same rate, but overall my stay at the Sri Chiang Khan was enjoyable but I would be more likely to recommend this hotel if it had cheaper rates.…
Good room with basic facilities ideal for 1 or 2 nights, limited choice for breakfast. But really ideally situated in the centre of the town, close to Mekong river, bars and restaurants and evening market.
Before giving my review, we would like to acknowledge that this Hotel allowed us to change our incorrect booking that had been made and paid for through Agoda, with no problems or penalty fees. It saved us close to $400 in not having to rebook the correct dates, plus lose our original booking costs. If you can get a good price for this place then you will be happy. We paid $60 per room and definitely wouldn't pay that much again, but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower was hot and the ensuite was a good size. There is also a small bar fridge in the room. You don't however receive daily room service, and the breakfast was not very good at all. It is probably great at 6am when they first cook it, but it is just cold and rubbery by the time we got there at 9am each morning. It is in a good location, but not waterfront (as may be suggested on Agoda and other sites). You can catch a glimpse of the River from the hallway window, but do not book here thinking you will be staying waterfront. Wait till you get there and book with a local family that has their rooms out the book facing the River, and you will be happy. If you are after comfy beds with great air conditioning, knowing that you will eat breakfast elsewhere and the rooms are overpriced (but comfortable) then this is a good place to stay. During our stay of 3 days, there was no English speaking person on reception either, just fyi.…
Impressive hotel, artistic and luxury hotel but pay less! It locates on the walking street surrounded by river, handmade products shops, and nice restaurants. Calm, yummy breakfast and Hotel prepared food offerings to monks in the morning.
After walking through the city and visiting other hotels it looked like with 1500 THB/night and this during the off season I have made a poor bargain. But at the same I must confirm that the rooms were indeed the best and the management was not stingy to invest in a good taste. Therefore from this perspective this is indeed one of the best hotels in Chiang Khan. The breakfast definitely needs improvement. I was told that they will serve American and Thai breakfast. It consisted of the Vietnamese fried bread and rice soup, that's all.
