The location on the town's main street (walking street in the evenings) is ideal and in front of the hotel is the new Mekong riverside walkway, Its an ok hotel but nothing more. Breakfast is a bit of a laugh because you have to walk around half a kilometre to a noodle shop where they serve you watery congee (rice porridge) two small pieces of boiled pork floating in it and does not include coffee or an egg - both are extra. Parking is convenient at the monastery opposite but we had to pay the monks 100 baht for the overnight parking.
Hi I stayed in this nice and comfortable hotel in May 2018. Not a very busy season at this time of the year at Chiang Khan, Loei, Thailand. The location of the hotel is quite central to the walking street in Chiang Khan, Lots of restaurants and food stalls available in close proximity. The street is particularly full of people after 6pm. The Hotel does not have elevator, but has lovely views if you stay on the higher floor (3rd floor), The view of the River is excellent from the balcony. There is no breakfast served by the Hotel. The owner is a very helpful guy and very cheerful. Bicycle is available for free from this hotel. The rooms are clean and quite acceptable. The price of baht 1300 per night is quite reasonable for the season. Overall a very pleasant hotel with lovely views and great location.…
Right on the river , right on walking street , good parking in the temple , everything so good, we was phone up the day before to make the booking, they give us the price so we book it, soon as we get there he the man is seeing to western man so he try to up the price to make more money, soon as i speak thai to him about the price it go back to what he tell me on the phone. so this place will rip you off if they can, look out .
The great location was not-enough to compensate for the tiny room, tiny bathroom, no storage space, threadbare curtains letting in the light from outside all night, no breakfast, no obvious security, no fire escape in an all wooden building surrounded by all wooden buildings and the noisiest tin roof contracting and expanding all night.
