You will sleep with the tipi open towards all the sounds and views of the jungle. Not recommended for people who don't like nature and animals. We had spiders both in the tipi (outside of the mosquito net) and in the bathroom, but we were told that they're not dangerous, so we slept really well anyway. There is a common...

Staying in a Tipi in the jungle, what more could you ask for. Mario and Manon offer a truly authentic, back to nature experience. It's simplistic, but absolutely amazing. Right when we arrived we saw two sloths in the common area and toucans. There are lots of green and black dart frogs near the tipis. The beds have mosquito nets...

There's a hand-painted sign on the footpath leading to Tipi Jungla Lodge that reads, "A Special Place for Special People." Depending on who you are, this can be interpreted as an invitation, a warning, or a challenge. It's not for everyone, that's certain. But for the right visitors, it's an experience that will never be forgotten. You must be comfortable...

We had a fantastic time and an adventurous stay. This lodge is ONLY meant and recommended for REAL nature and animal lovers. Your stay is with candle light and semi cold showers with the sound of nature all around. Mario prepared his recipe dinners with the great customer service of his wife Manon. We had the greater privilege to experience...

In our trip around the east- and south coast of Costa Rica, this lodge was absolutely the best experience. We intended to stay one night at first, but it ended up to be there for three nights. The common area is great for bird watching, the nature there is fantastic and we took a wonderful night-frog-tour with Mario. The bed...

Absolutely the most special lodge in Costa Rica! Just breathe the nature all over. Sleeping in a open tent in the middle of the jungle with all those lovely sounds. Manon and Mario are such nice people. We even might join Mario and his cousin to rescue a sloth and her baby. And finally: Mario's nighttour definately is the best...

Tipi jungla is a truly unique place. It's pure and untouched by consumer oriented tourism. Nature lovers will find exactly what they are looking for. Mario and Manon are the sweetest hosts and have extensive knowledge about the jungle and the area. You wake up to the sounds of the jungle which is an experience in itself. The tipis are...

We stayed here for 3 night and it was great! Mario and Manon were really friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The tipi was really special, we loved it! Also the nature was great, we have seen a lot of frogs, beautyful birds like toucans and a huge waterfall. The tipi's were very close to the pacific ocean and...

Stayed for 3 nights. We hired a car and found it really easy to drive from Manuel Antonio. When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely owners. We sat down to enjoy a fresh juice over looking the jungle. A huge sloth joined us most mornings hanging in the tree whilst we had breakfast. There are hammocks to laze...

We had a wonderful time at Tipi Jungla. We loved unplugging, leaving the tourist track and getting to experience staying in an authentic tipi. The tipis are all gorgeous and really comfortable - there's a great eco-mattress, wooden furniture, beautiful wall hangings - and the outside private bathroom is very well kept. The jungle itself is incredible and there is...
