It started out bad, they put us in a very dirty room that hadnt been cleaned yet. Also when u called to make my reservations they said my room would include a balcony so i payed the extra money for the room but when we got there all the rooms with balconys had been taken. They in turn moved us... More

We stayed for one night with the Stay and Ski package, which we have told all of our friends about. It's a great deal. The room was spacious, and included nice touches like fireplace and refrigerator. The placement of the TV was strange though. If you were in bed you couldn't see it. It didn't bother us, we didn't need... More

Dear blane1519: We were delighted to hear that you enjoyed one of our Ski Packages that Northwoods Resort offers. Unfortunately some guests are loud when they are in a hotel, we try to control the noise levels. We are pleased that enjoyed the location. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Big Bear Lake. Sincerely, Shari... More

Worst stay at any hotel or motel that I ever had. I, my wife, and my 16 month old could not get any sleep until 2:30am. The walls are very thin and you hear everyone. The people above us where very loud jumping on and off the bed, yelling, playing loud music, and just being loud. I made several calls... More

We were trying to figure out if this was our seventh or eighth time we've stayed at the Northwoods Resort. Obviously, we enjoy this resort as we know Big Bear offers many choices, and we continue to loyally return to the one that consistenly fulfills our needs and is a large factor in our vacation satisfaction. The vacation packages offered... More

Had a 2 night stay during the ski season, the room was clean, with a gas burning fireplace. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. But did make the mistake of going to Stillwells. The hostess Kelly, folding silverware in the waiting area, told us she had 4 other groups in front of us, she confirmed those reservations by looking... More

We picked this hotel because of the restaurant on site. I figured that way we could have a nice bottle of wine with dinner and not worry about driving anywhere. We arrived at 8pm, checked in and took a couple minutes to freshen up. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:20 and we were told they close at 8pm. It... More

We got a great deal for the price, despite the high season. It was very easy to find, coming from a 2+ hour roadtrip w/kids helps. The staff was kind enough to make us check-in early w/out any hassel which was a real plus! The rooms were very spacious and very clean!! Usually you have snobby people at the front... More

We stayed here for one night with our three young children and enjoyed ourselves very much. The heated outdoor pool was a hit with everyone, though you have to ask for the jacuzzi to be turned on (the pool was very warm, though the night was very cold). We loved the mid-week (We arrived Thursday night) ski package and breakfast... More

Nice decor and location. The pillows under the sheets were gross. They were stained. Also asked for a new coffee maker and towels. Waited several hours and got the coffee maker but not the sheets. Overall it wasn't bad and I'd stay there again. The cleaniness of the rooms keep it from being rated higher.
