John's guest house is a very welcoming place to stay in a breath taking location. Just a few minutes walk away is the Wadi zin canyon with the Ben Gurion tombs barely a 15 minute walk. The area is tranquil and John knows it extremely well having lived there for over 30 years. he's happy to share tips and make... More

Wonderful host, clean and modern rooms with lovely grounds. Great value for money. You get a feeling of tranquility and relaxation from the moment you step foot into the garden. John knows all the great sites to visit in the area and is so helpful.

we were glad to come back to this beautiful place and meet the super-nice couple who owns the place and runs it. No TV sets in the room nor in the shared "living room", where guests and hosts have breakfast together. You can cook in the room or buy pizza, or hamburger in the nearby shopping area. It's right on... More

What a lovely place to come to after a long day hiking. John our host was charming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and there was a common room we were able to play games with our friends in. We are kosher, so although we didn't have the breakfast, we were able to make a delicious meal in... More

John and Marion Krivine are warm and solicitous hosts. Their rooms are spotless, modern and interestingly decorated; our beds were comfortable. The breakfasts are great - eggs any style, great french press coffee, very special homemade jams, cheeses, cereal, fruits. The location is pretty spectacular, overlooking the Tsin Canyon and a 10 minute walk to the graveside of Ben-Gurion. Also... More

This desert enclave is perched on the brink of the Ein Avdat canyon -- a chasm of awe-inspiring magnitude & beauty. John is an Englishman with deep roots in this desert kibbutz, where he and his family host travelers with a sense of urban civility and aplomb. Our room was a combination of a glassed-in porch/efficiency kitchen with an adjacent... More

John's place was recommended to us by a friend and although he was already booked we paid him a visit. Very glad we did! John was super welcoming, gave us a great head-start to the Negev over a cup of coffee and recommended us two very nice hiking routes!

Being at the Krivine's is more than sleeping and eating: it starts with the radiant and wholehearted smile of John and Marion, from this moment on, each minute there is "full". The house, the rooms and the garden is a microcosm of "Out of Africa" and "the Little House in the Neguev", with tasteful and carefully chosen artefacts and pieces... More
