Family run hotel with really friendly staff, offers tasty and interesting food plus comfortable if a little small rooms. The owners worked hard to provide food suitable for a range of dietary requirements. Hotel is conveniently close to bus stop that has regular buses to Madonna Di Compaglio and Pinzolo for lifts to the ski areas or for walking/biking in the summer, or the opposite direction to Trento for wet weather alternatives. Fabulous mountain scenery, pretty alpine villages, alongside a national park.

Pros: very clean rooms. The lady running the hotel is helpful; we had a situation where we needed a car and she discussed with a local renting company, went with us to the location, arranged for us to leave the car at the hotel.  The prices at the hotel are very good (eg coffee 1.5 euro) It has a cinema theater as option to spend the evenings. Caderzone Therme is very close - 5 min walking distance. Things to pay attention: if you are booking for skiing and you are not traveling by car, be aware of the public transport. There are few options to Madonna di Campligno. No ski buses in the area (only from Pinzolo, which is 3 km away). Also, the location is quite remote, no restaurants or pubs around. The breakfast is basic and repetitive. No fruits or vegetables. Also, we had dinner included - you can choose from 3 options for 2 dishes and dessert. The menu is in Italian, so sometimes you just guess what you order for next evening as the.personel cannot really explain. Some evenings the food was very good, but they had also some big fails (for example smoked polenta or just a plate with prosciutto or a plate with 2 pcs of cheese).  The wifi is very poor.  The rooms have really thin walls - you can hear your neighbors talking, walking. We had a problem with the heat but it was solved after 2 days.  The policy of the hotel is rather strict and the gentleman sometimes was arguing in an impolite way. The dinner starts at 1930, we have managed to negotiate to start at 20:00 but, if we were late we could feel he was really upset on us. Also, a friend wanted to work in the lobby after 11.PM but it was not possible because the area is closed after that hour.  The ski equipment room is not heated. It would have been nice to have some devices for boots.  We were travelling as a group, around 20 persons, for the skiing area. As an overall feeling, I believe that the hotel is not ready or even willing to accommodate groups. Could be very comfortable location for older persons, looking for a quite place.
