Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I drove from Galway to visit the eco-village as we had heard about it for years and wanted a night away. The hostel itself was excellent. It was super clean, bright, comfy beds, nice rooms with desk, chair, shelf,...Great kitchen, nice space. Pa is a lovely man and fairplay to him to run such a cool building! The locals are unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Everyone we met in the ecovillage or outside was keen on sharing their experience and the craic in Ryan's pub was mighty. By the end of our stay, we had made a bunch of new friends and sworn we would buy some land and move to Cloughjordan's ecovillage. As an hostel worker and avid ecotourist, I reckon I shoud have been there a long time ago and I will definitely recommend Django's hostel to anyone

Motorcycling up from Cork. Rainy, windy and cold. Met with a warm welcome and a smile and a lovely environment. Heat and laughter. What more could a man want. Spotless rooms. Well run. Secure parking. Try and book first. I was lucky. Cloughjordan village is also a gem of a place. Warm and inviting town. Motorcyclists take note. Lovely area with some good back roads.

One of the best hostels I've stayed it. The community is so welcoming and the area is perfect for getting a real, authentic feel for rural Ireland. The name of the hostel is after the owners dog who will occasionally visit. Definitely a treat to see the star of the hostel.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a wedding at the nearby Cloughjordan house, and it was perfect for what we needed. What tops it off though is the friendly and welcoming feel you get from the owner, Pa, and also from all the locals in the eco-village who even walked us to the wedding venue when it wasn't too clear how to get there! It is a hostel, so luxury is missing, but you have a self service kitchen and private bathrooms (eco showers to save water!).

Stayed for 2 nights in Djangos. Really well run hostel and spotless clean. Pa was really warm and welcoming and it was inspiring to meet him and some of the people from the Eco village part of Cloughjordan and also the original main village. Can't wait to go back.

A great hostel in a very interesting Eco Village. Owner Pa is very friendly, easygoing and helpful. I was attending a function in Cloughjordan House which was a five minute walk from the Hostel. Great location for exploring nearby Lough Derg.

Friendly, relaxed, yet you can sense how committed everyone is to the community and its values. My brother and I stayed in a family room with en suite bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend to anyone - want to come back! We loved being able to walk into the village of Cloughjordan.

I recently stayed for two nights at Django's as part of a group of seven families with 16 children under 6 between us. With 3 of the 16 in my care, I was a bit worried about how it was going to work out - I shouldn't have. The facilities in the bedroom, common area and kitchen worked perfectly. The presentation was clean and bright, it was very comfortable but also didn't have anything in reach I was worried the kids would distroy! The bedroom fit us all comfortably, the kids were thrilled with the bunk beds. A simple but key thing for me was that the bed linned was 100% cotton. It is a personal annoyance of mine when I stay in places that have poly cotton sheets. There was ample kitchen space for all of us to cook and eat together which was great. The location is right in the

If you're looking for something a little bit different then I can't think of anything which comes close to Django's. I was attending a wedding so didn't get chance to properly explore the eco village but will definitely be going back to rectify that. I booked a private room with a double bed and en-suite facilities - really happy with the price and amenities. The communal kitchen is a winner and the local "Centra" convenience store has a surprising selection of food/drink on offer (top tip - the Centra store offers cash back which is a life saver due to the lack of cash machines). Pa and Django (Django being the main man - or dog, technically) were very welcoming and this just made the whole stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. If you get chance, go to the local pubs (yes,
