Detailed Reviews
I stayed in Django’s for 9 nights and couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay. Pa was welcoming & approachable and had the place sparkling clean on arrival and throughout my whole stay. I felt comfortable & safe despite the strange times we’re in. It was clear how hard he works to keep the place running smoothly.
Breakfast was simple but delicious, the coffee was lovely & the sourdough bread from riot rye bakery was amazing. The level of attention to detail for the price of my stay made it really great value. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a lovely break in cloughjordan!
Bonus was getting to meet Django the dog for the odd belly scratch!

A fascinating stay in Cloughjordan, Ireland's first ecovillage. Unfortunately just had time for a one-night stay. Loads to see. Had a drink in the 'old' town and a great walk around the ecovillage the following day. Would like to do a tour some time. Booked the family rooom in Django's - a perfect spot, highly recommend. Stayed in the family room which accomodated our two dogs. All rooms are now private and en-suite. A good breakfast of cereal and toast is included in the price, and charges are per room.

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Eco-Village Django hostel.
It's basic as you'd expect from my hostel, but it's comfortable, clean and perfect for a short stay in Cloughjordan at a very reasonable price. It's also pretty easy to reach from Cloughjordan station (you can walk there!).
I stayed for a wedding nearby and Django was the perfect location for it and provided everything I needed.
A light breakfast is served in the morning and if you need any other amenities like snacks and toiletries, Centra convenience store is just a few minutes walk away.
Django is looked after by Pa who is a lovely, lovely man. He'll take good care of you from the moment you walk in and I felt right at home
All in all, its perfect if you're traveling solo and looking for a place to stay in Cloughjordan.

Django’s was a great place to stay as we travelled to Cloughjordan for a family wedding. On arrival Pa met us and made us at home. The rooms were clean and just what we needed. Location was perfect as it was right in town - close to the wedding venue and family. Not only were the rooms clean and individual washrooms there was a light breakfast every morning to start your day off.

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend several day's in Pa's hostel. It was wonderful and a great setting for the research I was doing. Pa was very welcoming and the stay featured a great breakfast along with a range of information available on the ecovillage and different activities available. I 100% recommend this hostel to anyone passing by Cloughjordan!

Excellent stay for nearby wedding. Would stay again. Breakfast was simple but satisfactory with choice of cereals, tea or coffee, juice and toast. Beds were very comfortable and the temperature of the bedroom was pleasant.
Pa is a very nice host.

Really enjoyed the stay at Django's...very family friendly, casual and comfy. Felt just fine doing our self catering in the ample kitchen. Felt safe and secure, even with the wind blowing a gale outside (well, it is January! haha) Pa Finucane is a fine host. The people at Cloughjordan are so welcoming...the work they are doing (living in intentional community) is important.

Had the occasion to stay in Django's mid week and it was excellent. Pa welcomed us as did Django the dog. The Hostel is very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the peace and quiet around the place was beautiful. People are very friendly . We had a gorgeous breakfast with sourdough bread from the Riot Rye Bakery which was superb. Pa looked after us very well and we would recommend staying here.

We stayed here for an experience weekend for the Eco-village that was cancelled at the last minute. Our host, Pa Finucane, was part of the group that worked to connect us to the community so we could get a good picture of the village.
The hostel was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and Pa went the extra mile, providing a spare room when my husband wasn't feeling well and wanted to sleep in a separate space--and refused to take any extra payment for it! Wifi was rock-solid and free--many chain hotels could learn a lesson here!
The only downside was the myriad of fire doors that we had to go through every few steps, it seems. Clearly, the council had not made it easy to balance environmental considerations with building codes.
We loved having a full kitchen facility at our disposal (we have multiple dietary restrictions), and the location was a terrific base for exploring the area. Of course, the main attraction for us was reducing our footprint: international travel spews tons of greenhouse gases, and we didn't feel we sacrificed any comfort at all to do the Right Thing.

The 'Django' for whom the hostel is named is the resident dog - a very friendly pooch.
