We decided to stay at the Selcuklu after visiting the wonderful ruins of Alahan monastery. On our three week trip we stayed in the highest rated hotel in every town. The Selcuklu outclassed them all by far. The setting is dreamy, overlooking a beautiful lake amid mountains. This comes after a fabulous drive through high mountains and gorges from Alahan. The hotel is very spacious, airy and gleaming clean. The room, overlooking the lake, was large, modern and extremely comfortable. Within minutes of entering the room a complimentary fruit plate arrived. The service is excellent, attentive without being obsequious. We dined on the lovely terrace overlooking the lush gardens and huge swimming pool. The food was good but not outstanding but the whole experience was charming. It is rediculously cheap, the second cheapest of our whole trip.…
Hotel is located on the hill where is nearby the Turquoise Lake in Ermenek. I did not expect to see such a beautiful hotel here with high hotel standards. The view from my room to lake was so wonderful. Room is clean and its amenities are perfected. Wi Fi speed in everywhere is fast. Dinner and Breakfast were so delicious. Thank you so much to Chef and his team, I remembered the service staff Haci and service team are outstanding. The staffs from reception are so professional. They are ready to service for anything. Such a beautiful hotel and staff! Keep it up. I will be right back to stay again.
We stayed for one night and what a fantastic place. The hotel manager took care of us at reception and explained all the facilities. The pool area is well above 4 star quality hotel. Restaurant area and breakfast well above average. Yea - you can find more luxurious places in Asia and maybe they speak bette English in England/USA but if you want real Turkish hospitality and service this is the place. 4 luxury stars in Turkey and you pay less than a hostel in USA.
One has to have a very good reason to visit Ermenek, since the road to this mining village is difficult and the village itself does not offer any attraction. Mountain nature is beautiful and away from the habitat still untouched. The hotel is a big construction without any personality, a good example of public, tasteless, buildings in Turkey. Big room spartan furniture basic bathroom: view of the valley and the artificial lake (for some rooms) shower of unstable character shared by the air conditioning. Service absent totally dedicated to social media or games. If you need them it would be better to use phone since cannot be detached by it even at check out. Run by inexperienced managers not interested in the wellbeing of guests. Soviet style dining room with alternative of eating out on squalid terrace. Food without blame and without glory , quite difficult to remember. The good news is that the experience is after all harmless and unexpensive. I am sure that there is there some pleasure to have once the wedding season is over (Saturday night was seriously disturbed by a flashy celebration of fireworks, band and children gangs) once the pool, the pool terrace are back in use (under reconstruction at the time of the visit) and once the SPA is open (closed all the three days oof stay). If you have no reason to stay in Ermenek skip the Selcuklu Hotel and keep going in search for better.…
We were traveling by car and decided to stop for the night in Ermenek as it was getting dark. We were delighted to discover this lovely hotel in this small mountain village. It is nothing short of a 5 star hotel. Very spacious, great staff, great views, pool, good food, fantastic. And very reasonably priced. Why this hotel exists in this remote town is a mystery. But it is well worth a visit. Mr. Bean at the front desk is especially helpful, welcoming, charming and entertaining. If we lived closer we would make regular visits to stay for a weekend of relaxation.
