Hotel name is an oxymoron. The ‘beautiful view’ is of a hospital car park. We arrived mid evening after a long day travelling. The night receptionist was miserable, grumpy and unwelcoming throughout our stay. The lift was broken so we two (in our 60’s) were left to heave our suitcases upstairs. No one offered to help. We asked for a quiet room and were given one close to the stairs when the hotel was empty. Hence were woken up 0530 by someone dragging their suitcase down. Stale pastries for breakfast. I tried a pain au chocolat. It was like trying to chew leather. Liptons the only tea on offer. Nescafé and stewed coffee in a vacuum flask. There were hard boiled eggs and a couple of fruit yoghurts. When we asked for fresh fruit a couple of refrigerated tangerines were brought. The next day no fruit, no yoghurt, no eggs so I walked straight out and we breakfasted in a cafe. By our last morning they had oranges. Rooms spacious enough. Hot water ok. Showers a bit tired. You could find better places to stay. We speak French so could be understood.…
Based on the photos on Tripadvisor and Expedia, I was expecting a very ugly hotel. But the rooms are quite nice and spacious. The hotel is outside the city center, so you will need a car to get around. One of the receptionists spoke a little English, the other one not at all. We tried to figure out where the old town was, not realizing there are seven old towns, but the receptionist had no idea what we were talking about. You would think that they could figure out what all tourists want to see in Ghardaia, but they had no idea. Also, we had mistakenly made a double booking through Expedia, and they never brought this to our attention, just kept the money. Still, a good enough hotel. Apparently the best one in Ghardaia, or so we were told.
The room is big with a nice traditional duvet cover and carpet on the floor. It is equipped with a small refrigerator with a free bottle of water. The air conditioning works fine without any problem. The staff is friendly.
the hotel is not bad compared to the position in the deep Algeria, rooms are clean with air condition and fridge. not far from the national airport of ghardaia. nice view to Ghardaia city. friendly staff. food not bad.
